Scratch one gallery off my upload list..

I uploaded a layout to a certain site today and found out it was my only one there...all my layouts are gone (not just mine, but everyone's). The only reason I kept posting layouts there was because it was the only gallery that had EVERY single one of my layouts I have ever made. Now that it's wiped out, I'm not going to post there any more. I still post at 3 others besides here so it's not a huge deal, it's just sad to lose my main gallery. :thumbdown:
 
Is it DST? They archive the gallery monthly, so when you click on "my gallery" you only see layouts from this month, but if you click on "see all of Miss Kim's layouts" at the bottom, you can still see all of them. They archive so that they can keep the gallery running without taking a lot of time to load.
 
Mine are gone too....oh well at least there are more open galleries now..I felt weird posting there when i didn't use their stuff anyways just b/c it's a store gallery. I'm sticking to the 3 forum galleries and SSD from now on.
 
I have a gallery there as well and to be honest I'm not at all sad that all my layouts are gone. That gallery was one of my first so there was a lot of ugliness in there ;)
 
I'm so sorry you lost your most complete gallery. I never posted there, so I didn't lose much, just my store product layouts.

I like my MSA gallery bc I started posting there when I stopped totally sucking. So it makes me happy to look over there. Occassionaly I do like to look at my 2peas gallery for laughs.
 
I think I know of which gallery you speak. If so, you designer chickies that have access to the DCR (in the store owners subforum) can read a little bit more about what happened there.

So sorry to those who lost their full galleries. That really rots.
 
Yeah I understand what happened and it couldn't be prevented but it still makes me sad. Not mad at all! Just sad. That was part of my digi history- ya know?
 
ack, I had a hunch & sho'nuf my stuff is all gone, too! What a disappointment, but I am sure it's also big headache for them, too. As much as I love them, computers can be such a PIA sometimes.

Ditto! I know it couldn't be helped. I'm just kind of mourning the loss of my most complete gallery.
 
TDC was my first digi home when I started scrapping way back in Nov05 I think so it was my most complete gallery too, so I am a bit sad too that all my layouts are gone :( Since I don't hang much there anymore I'm not sure I'll post any of my current layouts there now.
 
I think I know where you're talking about and I know that they just had issues with their host. They transferred everything as quickly as they could, but not everything made it.

It's disappointing, but I don't think it could be helped.
 
I know i'd be pretty sad if that was my main gallery too. That must be awfully rough for a lot of folks who use it as their main gallery.
 
I didn't have too many layouts there either. Mostly challenges and a couple of CT stuff.
Either way even if my most "current" gallery (MSA) would be erase I won't be too sad. I have all my layouts in full res and Low resolution in my hard drive, plus some backup. I would DIE if I miss those!!!

But the truth is I only post online my CT layouts and challenges. Some of my best pages have never hit the cyber light... I TOTALLY HATE UPLOADING so unless I HAVE to, I don't... LOL
 
Now that I flippin' figured out what gallery you all were talking about. I am a spaz!! I have an account there but I can honestly say I don't remeber if I had any LO"s posted. That is about how often I go. Sad for them but glad it has been resolved!
 
I didn't hear anything about this but I only uploaded layouts over there for CT and challenge stuff so it doesn't really bother me. I'm sorry that everyone lost their layouts though.
 
Sorry to hear this... we did everything in our power to restore our gallery, but finally realized there was just nothing we could do! The files were corrupted, images were just gone. These thing unfortunatley happen... :(

It's okay Nicole, it's not like it was my only gallery...it's just that it was my largest one. I'll get over it :D I'm sorry your husband (?) spent so much time trying to fix it!
 
No worries Nicole so sorry you guys went through all that work though, but we'll definitely all get over it :) I've only done like 5 layouts so far in 2009 anyway so it's not like I lost too many current layouts :D
