Scraplifts-How do you credit them?

I simply comment that it was lifted from a layout by ------ and link to it if it's found in the same gallery as I'm posting. Some sites don't like linking to other sites in the comments, so you have to be careful. You could also just post an image that you host in PB of the layout you're lifting, as well.
 
You can say "Inspired by Col's layout "Pretty Girl" " and then link to the LO you lifted, if linking is allowed. Just substitute the appropriate username and layout title :) That's how I usually do it.
 
I guess that is what I was confused about..
do you link or not link back to the Lifted LO.
I have seen it both ways and was wondering which way was
the most correct but apparently it just depends.
 
Yes, it depends on what's allowed in the gallery that you're posting to.

ETA: Really, as long as you say that it was a lift of xx layout by xyz, it's fine whether you link to it or not.
 
I put the link in the credits when allowed. Some sites actually have a space for placing scraplift links
 
thanx for all the tips.
I just see so many fabulous LO's that scream
Lift Me but I have hesitated because I wasn't sure on the
crediting.
