Scrap Hangover?!

Anyone else have a scrap/design hangover after DSD?! :D :D :D

Do you like to ride the momentum that these big scrapping events and holidays provide?

Or do you prefer to take some time away from the computer to recharge before you jump back in to scrapping again?

I like to keep the momentum going. In addition to scrapping for fun, I also have two CTs I scrap for, so I keep busy! I find these busy events really inspiring!

Now that it's finally starting to cool off here in PA, with a high of 60 today, I'm planning on getting out in the garden to prep for a cold snap. So the fresh air will be a nice break from sitting in front of the computer! I have to find a place to put all of my houseplants that have been living it up outside. It's gonna look like a jungle in here, LOL!

I usually have to walk away for a bit, but not this year. I did 25 pages for DSD, and I have another five I need to post today. Riding that wave!

Hangover- Yes
Scrap hangover- NEVER!! ;)

I just had a couple CRAZY busy days at work with a million places to be & things to do after work, as well as keeping our family & billet boys alive with food- so today is my hangover day. Sleeping in an extra hour was glorious!

I still try to knock out some challenges, and I'm doing so digi type of stuff for our senior all nighter committee so I'm still working in photoshop! ;) ;)

A tiny hangover...but also BLURB had a 50% off plus free shipping sale. So I stopped and got 3 books sent off to print!!

Glad it happened after DSD!

I find them super inspiring too!

Houseplant jungle… pretty sure there’s a kit for that! :D

Hahahaha

Glad you got to sleep in. It’s easy to forget to take care of OURSELVES when things get hectic.

I took it somewhat easy this DSD weekend (although I was scrapping like wildfire in the lead-up for new releases). Now I'm working on my October album while there's a lull in releases this weekend so I can print it before the printers are overrun with Christmas cards.

The past 2 weeks have been dragging on with appointments (and next week is equally bad) so I'm enjoying the scrap therapy.

Me too... :D I need to update it, by the way.
How do you organize it?

I have several tabs in my Google Sheets.
  • The first is a basic brain dump: things I have, especially if I haven't used them yet, and ideas for what to scrap with them. I also have a column that is just things I want/need to scrap so I remember to work on them.
  • I also have a tab for kits by theme. Categories include holidays (with subcategories for each holiday: birthday, Halloween, New Year's etc.), travel/adventure (broken into "general travel" and then specific places, types of transportation, etc.), seasons (with subcategories for each season), and then a bunch of themes that I really love (stars, video games, reading, etc.)
  • I also have tabs for challenges and one for "designers by store"

It's been really helpful for when I'll put "spooky season reading" on my to do-list and then I can search both my general brain dump and my themed lists for "Halloween" and "reading"
