Scary Weather

Oh so scary! I'm glad you're okay, good luck today! Where do you live??

Darcy, we got it pretty bad here for at least a good hour. We lost power for about 2 1/2 hours so it made for a LONG night!

omg...im glad you and your family is ok! i live in west tenn. and we are expecting some really bad weather here starting around 3pm. they are predicting all the things im terrified of, not to mention hubby will still be at work and ill be in the process of picking up my child from school when all this is supposed to hit! Seems like we just went thru all of this back in feb. Lots of people around here are still trying to rebuild there homes and business from the last bout of tornadoes! I would love to know where a place with perfect weather is at, i would so pack up my family and move there!! lmbo!

Yuck! I am glad you are okay! That's the system that is hitting us today. I hope it isn't severe - we really don't need any more rain!!

Darcy where are you?

We're NE of Dallas...and we got hit, but not as bad as Libby. Our neighbor's tree is in our backyard now, on top of the boys' swingset. There are trees down everywhere, some roofs off businesses, and our little commuter airport got slammed, but it doesn't seem to be as bad as Arkansas keeps getting.

Though our backyard is now officially a swamp LOL It'll take days and days for that clay soil to finally dry out LOLOL

We are getting rain and have flood warnings all over the place here ( our river is so high and I don't think it has crested yet :() I heard we were supposed to get some bad stuff later but I never know who to believe when it comes to the weather so I will just wait and see!!! I am glad all is ok for now and I hope the weather gets better for you....

Well, I made it to work and home again, so that's a plus. :) Oh, I'm in Arkansas for those who asked.

The rain has stopped now. It's still really windy, but I think I heard that we're supposed to get more rain tonight (I need to check the radar).

I still feel pretty lucky (even with a lot of my shingles from my roof now laying in my front yard). My friend down the road had every window on the front of her house blown out (6 total), and several people had MASSIVE damage to their cars (ours were in the garage during the hail). Kendra's school had windows broken and the skylights busted (with lots of water getting into the school).

So all-in-all, it could've been much worse, and I'm glad that no one was hurt.

Thanks SO much for your concern everyone!

I'm glad y'all are okay Libby. That must be really scary. We get bad storms in the summer but I've never been through a tornado or anything that bad. Stay safe! I hope you get a break from that crummy weather soon!
