Scanning/Printing help please

I have a 5x7 photo that I would really like to print into an 8x10. It's a very good quality photo - if I scan it at a high dpi do you think it would print well in an 8x10 size? I really don't know how that works!

Yeah, it probably will be just fine. Even a 5x7 printed as an 8x10 will still have almost a 200 DPI, which is okay. If you scan at 600 DPI, you shouldn't see a quality decrease. HTH!

It can also depend on the kind of finish on the original photo. There are some finishes that you can't scan - or if you do, it won't look good.
