Sad and happy news... fur baby related

So our 9 month old kitten, Max, got hit by a car and killed on Monday :crying: My oldest son Drew was sooo upset because Max was his kitty. I was sad but I hadn't bonded with Max like I did with our 1 yr old kitty Toby. So anyways, we adopted another kitten yesterday- he is 4 months old and he CHOSE us! When we walked into the shelter he jumped up on the top of his cage and did everything he could to get our attention. When we were looking at other cats he would jump around in his cage until we came back to him and then would rub all over the cage. I had even turned around looking at a kitten right across from him and he reached out and clawed my butt!

Anyways... here is the new kitty- now we just need a name. My current faves are Finn, Jasper, Cooper, Remy. We just went through the whole naming thing 7 months ago when we were trying to name Max. Sigh.
Anywhoo...here is the cuteness!

So sorry for your loss. Your new kitty is gorgeous, but then I am prejudice as your kitty looks just like mine! Well, except for the fact that my Kaela is huge, I mean really big!

Name-wise, as I have a Toby & Max myself, it's hard to come up with something else that works with Toby...Max just fits. But I am liking Jasper...Finn is cute, but I think of Traci's little guy when I hear that name! LOL
 
I'm so sorry about Max Amber! I'm glad you have a new addition to the family, he's a cutie.
 
Awww...I'm so sorry to hear about Max. This one sounds like he really wanted to go home with you...too cute!
 
what a turn of events! so sorry for your loss. that's why our cats live indoors. had too many sad losses like you. happy that you got someone to comfort you right away. it's a cute story! i had a kittie like him. he was the best i ever had. really. was kind of a wild thing, climbing the textile wall in my mothers living room :-D but he was the cutest thing ever. nevertheless i won't tell the rest of the story because it is really sad.

you will find the right name, i am sure.
 
Oh he is so cute!!! He looks just like one of the kittens we got our kids for Christmas (who is coincidentally named Max- the shelter named him Max and we kept the name..)
I like Remy from your list... I do like the name Finn, but I also think of Traci's little guy when I hear that name... or the Goldfish crackers character, lol!
 
So sorry about Max, Amber. I hope your son is doing better with the loss. I am sure the new kitty is a comfort to you all. Sounds like he knew where he belonged. :)
 
It's so hard losing a kitty, especially when you've just gotten attached to him. But you have a handsome new little guy that I'm sure will help with your loss. I'm afraid I'm not help when it comes to names because all of the names you've chosen are great names!
 
Awwww I am so sorry to hear about your kitty :( Your new kitty is completely darling!! I am such a sucker for kittens!! I think I love Jasper best!! :) All cute names though!!
 
losing a kitty sucks :( but love the new kitty and I actually like all the names :) I like Remy :) (of coarse I am a Disney nut )
 
So we decided to name the new kitty Cosmo. We couldn't come up with anything else that felt right and the kids liked Cosmo so we are going with it!
 
So sorry about Max... Cosmo is a cute name! I love how he got your attention! LOL!
