S/O: What are you hoping to get for Christmas?

My mom always wants a list, but I have nothing I really want. I am moving into my own apartment here soon with out my soon to be ex-h and if I can get all my stuff, I won't need anything either, but if i can't get myself stuff, I will probably ask to have some stuff replaced as my gift. The only thing I really wanted was a tablet which my mom got me for my birthday last month and a new lenses for my dSLR which is too much to ask for unless they all go together.

We don't buy each other anything AT ALL. But my parents are BIG spenders, so we don't really need to.

My folks are coming out for Christmas, and will buy all of our food while we are here and probably still give us money. I am thinking about splurging on a dSLR, ,but I suppose I should learn to use the camera I have before I spend a lot of money on a new camera.
 
hmmmm.....i want a new comforter for our bed...i think this one...and its ON SALE!! regular price is $325.

i would also like an EHD. desperately, lol.

i can't think of anything else. our new bedroom set was sort of a big purchase a couple months ago so i can't really justify asking for anything else extravagant. besides, we have property taxes to pay for and i want to get the girls a bunk bed and Aidan a twin bed for christmas and we need to replace some carpet in one of their rooms so money will be tight this year.

We don't do big things either Sarah! We mostly buy what we need when we need it, but always get eachother a few things so we have presents to unwrap in front of the kiddos.

I have to tell DH exactly what to get me anyway or he'll just spend money on something I don't want. Since moving to Japan the selection of items is sparce so when you see something you want you buy it or it will be gone and no telling when/if ever it will be back in stock. So I have told DH to get me:

George Foreman Grill
2 sets of slippers
2 Willow tree figurines (I collect them)
A couple of DVDs
 
DH is getting me a subscription to The Wallstreet Journal :D I want a DSLR but that isn't gonna happen so I'm happy with the subscription.
 
We don't do big gift for each other either. Since we will be buying a house in December at our new duty location I guess I can consider that my gift. LOL!!
 
Wow! Love y'all's lists! I've got some bigger ticket items, like a Nikon D90, new lens, Speedlight, studio equipment, that I know I won't get! lol But, it's nice to dream! lol

However, if you PRINT your layouts...they could still pick you up scrapbooks and page protectors!
 
I would like a new lens for my camera...maybe a wide angle or maybe one of the flashes you all are talking about. Depends on how we are doing $$ wise for Christmas I guess...can't really see dh doing this though.

...the other possibility is my 20yo ds suggested that maybe dh could make me a small desk for my laptop that would hold the EHDs on it...because right now I sit out in the middle of the room on a large "Tablemate" tray...which works...but is very cramped.

Hmmm slippers that will go up over my ankles (my ankles are always cold)...but without pom poms. lol

It's funny...my 20ds keeps coming up with ideas for me ... he thinks I need a RAID system that would back up my laptop easier and quicker for me. Thinks I would :wub: it if I had it.

I'm really pretty happy with what I have right now...dh made a 3 piece desk for our homeschooling this summer that has space for all my different kinds of paper i print on, my 13x19" photo printer, and my scanner....plus he built me a "closet" that holds all my scrapbooks...so I shouldn't get greedy...

...maybe I should just ask for slippers? ;)
 
I reaaaaalllllly want a new Canon 7D. I have had my DSLR or many moons and I am begging for a new one but at the same time I keep telling my hubby not to buy it until we sell out house cause it costs too much money so who knows if I get it or not. I would also love to have a Kitchen Aid stand mixer and the Wii fit. Somehow those 2 don't seem to go together:blink:LOL. I guess I can work off all the extra calories I'll be consuming from using the new mixer LOL.

Of course, I mainly just want my kids to have a good Christmas so if I get nothing that will be fine to. It's just fun to dream and make out lists.
 
I have a few big ticket items that I want: Cricut Expression, Kindle (or other eeader), iphone or itouch, Dyson vaccum ... but I am not sure want I will end up getting LOL
