This one isn't exactly 'asian' but it has sesame oil in the dressing so it tastes that way... this is my favourite salad! And if you marinate chicken breast in orange juice and a little sesame oil for like three hours, and grill it, PERFECTION. (oh, this dressing recipe makes a LOT, you can scale it down)
Sonoma Valley Salad
Mixed Greens
Roma Tomatoes
Red and Green Pepper
Crumbled Feta
Roasted Cashews, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds
Raisins
(grilled chicken)
Honey Citrus Vinaigrette
Lemons; juiced
2 Limes; juiced
4 Oranges; juiced
3 tb Ginger; peeled & grated
2 tb Honey
1/3 c Sesame oil
2 c Canola oil
1 bn Chives; cut finely
Salt and pepper; to taste
Place citrus juice in a stainless steel bowl. Add ginger, honey, salt and pepper.
Slowly whisk in the oils until emulsified. Add chives and adjust seasoning.
