S/O Chicago Meet Up - Need Info From You!

DH starts a new job at the end of June where he'll be gone Monday morning through Thursday evening every week, so I'm going to have a lot more time on my hands and can prolly take on planning this so long as y'all don't expect a three course meal or fancy guided tour.

I need some info first, though, before I can plan! Please respond to the poll with which dates/days work best for you. If I'm planning and want to come, I will need it to be either the fourth or fifth weekends of July or a weekday during one of those two weeks, but if that really doesn't work for everyone else, I can always plan something and send you on your merry way.

I also need to know whether you will be bringing your kids and/or DH with you. I know a lot of y'all said your family was coming, but will they actually be WITH you or will they be off on their own? If you will have your kids with you, can you let me know if they are babies, toddlers/preschool, or older so I know how to plan accordingly, please?

We're on our family vacation the 24th-Aug 1st, so we wouldn't be able to come unless it were earlier in the month.

If it were earlier in the month and a weekday it would be me and just the kids if it were a weekend (earlier in July) it would be the whole family. The kids are 4 and under.

I'd be bummed if I missed out but totally understand if that's the only time that works for everyone... I've yet to have a meet up with the local peeps

I can come any Saturday in July. I marked the 31st but the 24th would work too...or earlier in the month. We don't have anything going on.

IF others were bringing their DH and kiddos....mine would come too. My boys are 4 and almost 3. During the week, we can meet on Mondays or Fridays...I work the other three evenings and being pregnant I would too tired to do something during the day and work in the evening!!

I hope we can all get together!!!

I marked the 31st or any time during the week (hubby will need to take off)... but July is pretty free except for the week of 11-17 (hubby on business trip)... I'd be coming with hubby and kiddo (who is 3).

I would love to come! I chose the 31st - but our July calendar is pretty open. Weekdays wouldn't work for us - and it would be a little family trip for us - so DH and kiddo would come too (he's 2.5).

I'm not 100% if I'd be able to come, so I'm not going to vote. I'm waiting on a few other things to be decided to know when I'm available.

All that to say, if I'm able to come on the date you guys plan on, then I'll be there. If it's a weekend, Joel and Luke (6) will be with me. If not, it'll just be Luke and me.

I wanna come!! i voted for a week day just bc we usually spend time with DH on the weekends since he works so much during the week. Saturdays would also be good for me too though.
I'd have the girlies with me, but probably no DH since it's so close.

I'm not very committed to coming anymore. We just replaced my computer AND, in a totally separate experience, wiped out our savings account. Not really encouraging when you think that we are going back to the US where things are like 4 times as expensive. I'll have to see how things work out, but I just wanted you all not to be too disappointed if I can't make it. ; )

Our July, as of now, is very open. If we can swing the trip, any of those dates work. Right now it all hinges on Andrew becoming gainfully employed again. (Someone hire him, please---and pay him well. Thanks.) If (again) I did come, Andrew and the boys would be with me. The boys are 7 and 10. I could send them off to do their own thing, but if there's any need to go from one place to another, I'd need a ride. One car (and one licensed driver) family here.

i voted any- but absolutely HATE going downtown. so if it's not downtown it'd be me and my two boys. 7 and 3yrs old.

I would so love to come..would most likely have DH and DD with me (DD is 9 .. DH is 34 but acts 12). I agree that I would rather not have to go into downtown but don't know that it would prevent us from going.
