I'm a cosmetology educator... and actually in the last month I've taken over charge of the school.
 
im a stay at home mom right now but Im looking for a job because my husband is out of work indefenitely because of injuries from two different car accident.
 
I am 'almost' other... I work as photographer so mostly outside, but I do the post-processing here... I used to have a studio, but it was too expensive to keep that and kind of pointless since most of my shots are outdoors or weddings.
 
i'm a tax (nerd) CPA with a very small practice out of our home office, who likely will switch hats and build into more personal financial planning / estate planning / elder care back in the Big Outside World Where You Get To Wear DryCleanable Clothes when Mr. Terror goes to full time preschool/kindy ...
 
I'm an other...I'm a SAHM...not by choice since I was layed off but I absolutely love being at home...I know my months are numbered so eventually I'll start looking for work...I was a Project Accountant before being layed off...
 
It's so fun to see what everyone does.

I work at home for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life. I used to do media relations out of a local American Cancer Society office, but took a position with the national home office a few years ago. So, technically I'm based in Atlanta (I'm in NJ), but I get to work from my house most of the time. DH is a teacher, so it's a really great schedule with little kids.

Deb, I didn't know you were a SAHWife! I figured I was one of the only ones so I wasn't even going to answer this question. LOL!

But yeah, I'm essentially a SAHWife, not entirely by choice although there are worse gigs. :p With my DH in the military it just sort of happened and the longer I didn't have a job the more I liked the flexibility of my schedule (like so I can do a last-minute trip to Disneyworld or spend the summer back home) so I haven't really been eager to give that up. I did look for a job for awhile when we first moved to CO but the job market at the time was quite crap and I quit looking when they started reporting on the news that job seekers could expect to spend 40 hours a week, 8-10 months to find anything. I didn't need a job (or the stress) that badly. :D

What I'd really love to do is go back to school for graphic design, but I feel more than a bit silly about it considering I went to college as a design major, hated the school I was at, and eventually transferred and got a degree in Managerial Economics instead, all the while doing design work on the side. :D Not that I really regret any of it because I know it was the right decision at the time, but I have a hard time justify spending more money on school when the current piece of paper (uh, I mean diploma :p) I have doesn't seem to be worth a whole lot. But we'll see what happens I guess. :o
 
I work as a co-director of a daycare center. I put in some pretty long hours, (50+ weekly) but I love it. I have been there for almost 10 yrs, and my son comes with me. I get to see all the kids and even have some fun with my staff. Plus I do most of the marketing for all 6 of our locations so I get some creative time too.:thumbup:
 
I work 3 nights/week (3pm-12am) as an emergency/critical care veterinary nurse. I LOVE my job!

I do a little bit of S4H stuff on the side (mostly collages, invites, and announcements)...right now its really just enough to keep me scrapping (pays for new kits, printing my LO's, etc). One of these days, I may expand and do some local marketing..but right now I don't have the time or even desire to do that.

I also do a little bit of personal training (I am not certified)...that, at least for now, is free...mostly friends or friends of friends. Just a passion of mine..may turn it into a "job" one of these days...

..and, in between that, I have a super rambunctious 2 year old son and a sassy frass 10 year old daughter to keep in line.
 
I used to work in editing, then became a SAHM. Last year, I startedworking again, but from home. So by day, I'm a SAHM and by night, I'm a WAHM! :p

I love the fact that since I work from home, I can work in pyjamas, while the kids are sleeping, but I do have long days, sometimes...

I work for a private investigating firm, I do their transcripts. :thumbup:
 
I work outside the home. I am a medical coder for a large orthopaedic clinic. It can be kind of boring at times, but can also be interesting looking at some of the crazy/stupid things people do to get hurt!
 
I work at home. I make templates, help my dad with his business, and homeschool. It's been crazy busy around my house this month. Believe it or not, I think things will calm down a bit when school starts.
 
I work part time at a church as the secretary/office manager. That job takes me from 8-noon every day and I'm a SAHM for the rest of the day. :) Prior to this gig I owned a flower shop but closed it when baby #2 was 1 because I was killing myself trying to be everywhere at once. Everyone is much happier now. :)

Oh, and I've got one of those pieces of paper hanging on my wall too. ;) Mine says I'm supposed to be a high school English teacher. LOL
 
I work outside the home. I'm a pediatric physical therapist and work for our Early Childhood Intervention program for kids 0-3. I love my hours 8-4 four days per week. I get a 3 day weekend every week!
 
I work about 20 minutes from home at the T579 Target Distribution Center as a "Packer" packing the orders for the Target Stores we Service on the East Coast....

The pay is great but the 10 hour days (imo) are much too long and Mandatory Overtime stinks! Oh wait, they like to call it "Scheduled Overtime....
 
I work full time as a financial planning analyst for a high-tech Fortune 500 company. I've been working at the same company for 16 years and still like it a lot. I do annual budgets, financial forecasts, capital acquisitions, purchasing, etc.
