I haaaaaaate alpha sheets. Individual PNGs for sure. It's annoying to have to cut all the letters out that I want. It's especially annoying if the letters are too close together requiring more work than a simple crop.

Well said ... exactly how I feel!

Singles. Having to select, copy & paste, then deselect, select new, copy, paste over and over letters is tedious to me. Being able to quickly drag & drop individual letters is so much easier & fits into my workflow better.

Neither bother me... but if there were both, I go with the full sheet. I think cutting is easy peasy and it doesn't bother me at all. Especially when I can't choose a title, it's nice to have it ALL there if I change my mind. :)

Individual files for each letter. Because, while I am sure there is a much easier way to separate the letters on a full sheet, I haven't found it yet so I am cropping each one, and then I have to undo the crop & crop again. One of these days I am going to get off my lazy rear and learn an easier way! :D

Individual, definitely. And, re-sizing hasn't been an issue for me. After I add them to my layout in PS I just select all the alpha layers (or put them in a folder together) and re-size them while they're all selected together so they're all uniform.

ugh, I hate singles! I prefer one sheet so I can cut and paste each letter then arrange... otherwise I need to open heaven only knows how many individual letters and drag n drop each one and close each window, its a PITA

I wrote a tutorial about cutting out alpha sheets - two different methods. It really is easy. You can find the tutorial here: https://www.sweetshoppedesigns.com/tutorials/index.php/2011/12/using-full-sheet-alphas/

Either way for me... for storage - I store the sheet and delete the individuals. But I don't have a strong feeling one way or another.

I really really really really really hate alpha sheets. I also hate when the letters are too close together or they are too close to the edges of the canvas. Did I mention I hated sheets?

Hmm. It's interesting to read everyone's responses. I like having them on a sheet. I think it makes it easier to see the full alpha at one glance before I open it in photoshop - like if letters are different colors, you can see what color the letters you want to use are, or you can see the way an L or G or Y loop and how it will relate to the other letters. I just put the whole sheet on my layout, and use the marquee tool to select the letter I want and copy it into its own layer (Ctrl+J) and then I hide the layer with the full alpha. That way if I change my mind and have to go back, the full alpha is already there waiting for me. It's easier in my opinion. But, everyone has their own process, I guess. :)

This! Full sheet all the way.

Individual letters, I hate cutting them out, and almost will NEVER pull from an alpha on a sheet, unless I really, really love it.

Individuals. I kinda hate full sheet alphas. I've passed on buying stand alone alphas I loved when I realized they were only full sheets. I'll use an alpha sheet for CT work or if I absolutely adore it, but that's it. Other than that I'll go with another alpha so I don't have to deal with the sheets.

I used to hate sheets and then when I upgraded to CS5 and started using the sheets more, I realized I do like them. Now I hate it when the designer ONLY has the individual files, because it is a lot easier to cut up a sheet and save as individual pieces than it is to arrange all the individual pieces on a single sheet (I've tried both!). As long as there is decent room around the letters the sheets rock my {I've got a bazillion files open right now} world.

100% vote for SINGLES!

I am soooooo disappointed when I start a new page and realize the alpha is on a sheet.

I hate the sheets. I really really hate the sheets. It takes me significantly longer to cut and paste from the sheet. I think I have a glitch with my CS5 too. Sometimes once I cut out one alpha and paste it on my layout then I cut another one to paste and it pastes the first one. It drives my insane. I sometimes have to shut down CS5 and reload.
