Our theme for next year at school will be "road to success". I need some decoration ideas for my classroom. :) This year the theme is "wild about learning" but we never really decorated to the theme, mostly because we started a few weeks in to the school year and just worked with what we had (WE meaning myself and the woman who I share the job with, she works afternoons). Ideas? Kits to use for some hybrid projects?

hmm that's really inspiring!

you could take that SO many ways!!

you could have it fun with cars and vehicles with lots of little pit stops along the way along the classroom kwim? motivational little things..

OR it could also be road/path.. nature/woodland style

My first thought was cars/etc too - and Dani's One for the Road mini kit (ya...I know she just left.) I am sure there are some other car/road trip kits out there too! That was just one fun/kiddy style one that popped out in my mind.

I was thinking today of using some graphics and the overhead projector to blow up some images to use on bulletin boards and such. I'll have to see what I can find. I have all summer to think about it but if I put it off it won't get done.

I'd like to find a way to incorporate holidays into the theme too (or incorporate the theme into holidays, I should say) so that I don't have to pull things down for holidays... maybe a Christmas tree with cars on it or make Leprechauns riding bikes or driving in cars, etc... something for Dr. Seuss' birthday, Halloween, Thanksgiving...

How about a roadway theme with a 'passport' and 'tickets and ticket office' for special events along the way. There are stacks of kits in the store with cars, road signs etc.
