Ring! Ring!!

Good news!!!!!

Last Thursday (one week ago) I finished my last chemo and rang the bell.....
I still have a long road ahead but after the roughness of this last week, well the last 4 months, I am so happy to finish this chapter and to taste food again!!! (and grow hair!!)

Oh gosh, there is so much!!!!!! Lobster bisque, hoagies, peanutbutter, chocolate, margiritas, ice cream and coffeeeee!!!!!!!!

Congrats!! I am a survivor as well. Diagnosed in 2024 and did all the things- surgery, chemo and radiation to lessen reoccurrence. It's a journey we didn't ask for but it's better than the alternate. Be kind to yourself and celebrate each stage. After you are cured, continue to be kind to yourself and know that many of us seek therapy afterwards to help us with survivorship. I am in therapy 2 yrs later still and it help me a lot.

Thank you for sharing with me. This is not a journey I would wish on anyone. It took me a few rounds of chemo to just allow myself to be still/rest and leave all the chores and just listen to my body. Part of me still feels guilty or lazy.
