I checked the store and did not see what I was looking for so I thought I would ask if you could possibly make a template for a banner? I want a trinagle one with scalloped edges on the sides and for it to be layered so the scalloped edges can be different then the inner paper. I could probably do the triangle part myself but do not know how to do the scallops. It is for my daughter's baby shower and I want to make a printable banner to hang at the party. So if you think maybe that might be possible let me know??

I don't know if it's exactly what you mean, but Traci has these.

Would you want to cut out each triangle with little scallops down the sides by hand, though? Maybe you can make a plain triangle template, print it out and just back it with some plain white cardstock that you cut on the edges with scalloped decorative edge scissors. Know what I mean??

well I want to make the scalloped edges be giraffe and zebra print because it is a jungle theme and yea I was going to cut it all out LOL. If nobody wants to try because I know it isnt something you would sell a lot of I might just try to make it myself and use one of the scalloped edges I already have.

hmmmmm - i thought that there was something like that in the store (from heather or mari?) but i don't see it in the printable section :(

If you want to try and make one Jessica I can tell you how I'd make it!! Just make your triangle shape about 4 x 4 inches and then make a circle about 1 to 1.5 inches. Then just lay it on top of your triangle so that half the circle is on the triangle and half the circle is off the triangle. Keep duplicating the circle till you make it all the way around the triangle!! Flatten all your layers and then on a second layer make a smaller triangle to "lay on top"...tada instant scalloped triangle!!!

Oh and you probably know this but save it as a TIFF file (or whatever your program's layered file is) so you keep the 2 layers!!!!

Yeah... Mari has exactly what you're looking for, so I'd ask her to release it here this weekend... they're awesome

and yes, Dani used to have hybrid banner templates but they aren't scalloped like you're looking for... so I'd definitely contact Mari and encourage her to release them!!!

you can also make a path with the triangle and stroke the path (on a new layer) with a circle brush to make a scallop :)

If you don't find one, let me know. I made a banner similar to what you are talking about for my daughter's birthday party last year. I did a scalloped design on one of the layers. I think I might still have it, if not, I could easily make another one for you. Anyway, just an option...

Krystal made me one that will be perfect!! :)

Thank you guys for your help. I can do shapes on PSP like triangles but I was not sure how I was gonna get the scalloped edge on it.

Jessica, I can't even seem to wrap my head around what your looking for (or what you WERE looking for...lol)! I keep coming up with odd 'pictures' in my head of what this looks like.... point me in the direction, I'm curious now!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..... ahahahaha... I'm so stupid, I swear! OMG, I was absolutely over thinking that whole thing! I had wayyy different images in my head! LOL!

Thanks Jessica!

too funny, cause I'm working on a template set for just that right now! It isn't going to be ready for this weekend though....Mari will probably beat me to it...

I'm glad you found what you were looking for. What you were describing is exactly what I did with Caitrin's banner last year... then I got lazy and ended up not using the scalloped layer because I was running out of time and didn't want to cut them all out by hand. LOL
