on some site you got a code for a free Shutterfly book that expires November 15th or so? Has anyone had any problems using the code? It didn't apply when I went to checkout so I asked Customer Service and he said that digital scrapbook books don't apply. WTF? In the promo page it doesn't say anywhere that it cannot be a digital scrapbook. I seriously hope he takes my reply to heart and gives me the thing for free. I'll be placing another order in January to do my project365 book and I may just not go there because of this. We shouldn't be penalized just because we decide to make our own whole pages than use their ugly premade ones. LOL
 
I had the same problem! So, here's what I did to get around it. In the styles, choose "Portfolio" then choose "Classic White" then on all your pages, you can choose the full page 1 picture. And, you can do the same for the cover. It turns out exactly like the digital scrapbooks! :)
 
I had this happen to me twice last year!! It doesn't say anywhere that you can't use it for DIY books... but I found a way around it... select one of their premade one (not Martha or Creating Keepsakes)... select the page as if you are doing a full page photo bleed... and load your scrapped page into that... that is the only thing that worked for me. Customer Service finally relented last year, but it was too me 4 calls to India to get it that I can use a designed by me book.
 
I got that code too and was so super excited. I've been wanting to get Ava's 1 year shoot printed into a bound book so I thought this would be PERFECT. But I've tried at LEAST 10 times, and the stupid format keeps randomizing her pictures. I'll have a series of 4-5 pics, and they will be randomly placed on totally different pages. It was so frustrating, I just gave up.

Maybe I should try one more time. I'm running out of time!
 
Thanks Deb!! Got it all done and ordered! Whew! I still don't like how you can't make a digital scrapbook and use those codes at the same time. I've made 4 books and have always had to talk to customer service for every one of them!

You place the photos you want in the pages you want, so I dunno how it's randomizing them. :confused: Hey, it might be frustrating, but if you get it done in time, it's saving you $25-30!
 
I never start making my books from the "digital scrpbook" page on shutterfly. It never let's the codes work.

I have a 39 page book for my cousin in the cart right now and I want to finish my calendar so I get 20% off it, and $10 off my $30 order, and hopefully free shipping.
