Hi everyone, I have been here 2 months now, but still feel like a newbie when it comes to getting to all of you here on the board. My "getting to know you" question for today is are you related to anyone else that is a member here, or do you know anyone from here IRL?

I don't IRL, although I am trying to get my friend interested in Digiscrapping so maybe one day she will be on here :D

Also, I know La, Alina, Eggshell1976 & a few other girls from another board. :thumbup:

Amanda Heimann (aggiefamily) and I finally got to meet in person this summer when my boys and I went to visit her and she and her family graciously entertained us at the beach. We loved it!

Heather Roselli and I keep TRYING to meet up every time I drive through her home town to visit my relatives, but we haven't been able to swing it, yet.
 
Sadly no. But I'm holding out hope that Mimi will throw LeeAndra and I a sweet bachelorette party in Vegas and tons of ppl will come :p

I have one relative on the board - scrapperjade is my younger sister. And I've met Kristin Cronin-Barrow IRL, and Paula Duncan (who used to be a designer here, and still hangs with us once in a while...).

A lot of the girls here I've known for a long time - Traci and I met on a digi scrapping board about 4 years ago...Dani was on my original CT forever ago, I knew OF Robin and Christy before they became designers...I was on Manda's CT years ago, too. I think over time we've all become a little bit connected, lol!
 
Hmmm... I'm thinking the only people I've met in person on here are Dianne and Mary (maryinaz). I was friends with both of them back in our paper scrapping days. :)

On December 9th I am going to meet Meems and Kellie(joelsgirl).
I'm so excited!
 
I've met Pam, and I've known Brooke, Meg & Shannon for several years from an MSN group. :)

Well as Bree mentioned she and I have met!! And Christy and I have been friends for 15 years!! Other than that I haven't met anyone else here IRL but Kristin and I have tried to hook up a couple time but soemthing always gets in the way...maybe soon!! :p
 
I'm not related to anyone and I haven't met anyone. I've spoken to mormishmom on the telephone and I live about three hours from SaraAmarie. =))

I do know that Laura_A and nonnie917 are DD and mom. And mlewis and bderby are sisters.
 
Nope. I know no one IRL. But I feel fairly close to a couple of a girls here and feel like I can run to them and talk to them about anything. (La, the Fizz, and Lena)
 
I am not related to anyone and have never met anyone that I know of. I know there are a few people who live in Florida but none really live that close to me.
 
I've met Lyle, Susan, Traci, Dani, Darla, Tana and Manda and I are gonna make a love child in December.
 
I have a friend IRL that I got addictted to scrapping. Her name is Alane (Marnie4two) She used to be on Traci's CT but had to step down. She doesn't post much anymore, since she is working all the time.

I have know a lot of the girls online for years though.
 
Glad I am not the only one feeling that way! ;) It is so hard to get to know people in the forum. I know I was at another site and had over 2,500 posts yet only felt I had gotten to know a couple of people. Ended up leaving the site because the "fun" was taken away. To much about rules and not having any fun. So here I am ...

But to answer your question, I don't think I know anyone here. :)
 
Ummm, let's see.

People whom I have met:

gypsystar is my sister.

amberlv is a good friend of mine. (she doesn't chat in the forum, just shops the shop, LOL) she came to my house in Ohio last January and I stayed with her in August where she lives in Memphis.

kirsty (who posted here lots during SUAS but I don't see her around much anymore) and I have spent time together. She actually babysat little baby Naomi while I was in the hospital suddenly in 2007.

People I haven't met but it feels like I have:

Laura_A was my very first designer that I CT'd for...like 2 1/2 years ago, when she used to own TDC. Hopefully she won't mind me saying so, but when I gave birth to my middle child she sent me the sweetest gift! I consider her a good friend!

bellbird (Justine) and I have known each other for almost 3 years when she used to CT for me (and my sister, we designed together back in the day)! When Naomi was born she cross-stitched a baby bunny for her and sent it all the way from Australia. :wub:

I know for a fact that there are more girls here that I knew "back in the day" but these are the ones that stick out in my mind.

dude, I hope you are talking about another Mimi. This Mimi can't throw a party to save her life. Unless you all want to have it at Pump It Up. But I would love to meet you and LeeAndra.
 
I dont have any relatives here nor have I met anyone from the boards. It's cool though that a bunch of you girls have met up.

I think I came along as y'all started designing separately! B/C I've been digiscrapping for 2 1/2 years & after just a month or 2, I was on Tabatha's team. But, I don't think y'all were designing together anymore. Maybe just a little bit still. Anyway. It's been a long time! lol

Haven't met anyone from here but I'm not too far from Christine (my4boys).
 
I don't have any relatives here.

I have met Sara as she mentioned just last month and have also met Amy Bleser (she's been too busy for scrapping as of late tho so isn't around much).

Most of the people I am friends with I know from previously or currently sharing CTs or stalking them. ;)

On a side note, I've met a ton of paper scrapping friends that I met online first IRL.
 
Deb, I never knew that! Yeah, we started designing separately in Nov 06, (I miss designing with her!) and then I retired for good in Aug 07 (I was diagnosed with Still's Disease in April 07...that's when Kirsty babsat Naomi for me LOL) and I had to quit because my hands hurt too bad to design. They are better now, under control with meds.

She and I actually considered a "reunion tour" last summer but we just never got around to it. Back in 06 we had 3 kids between us and this year we have 6...big difference in free time LOL!
 
Yeah, I think I joined her team in July, August, or September! lol Y'all should do a collab! :) I remember your diagnosis! And I remember all the kids popping up at once! LOL :)
 
I'm not related to anyone & haven't met anyone IRL yet, but I know Sara (kscwgirl) and I only live about 3 hours apart and I think there are a couple of other Kansas girls around here too!
 
I know ClearSkies (Amy) 'cause she used to live here in PC and I got her addicted to.... I mean, I introduced her to, digi-scrapping just as she was moving to Alaska. Hope to get to see her next year when she comes back for a visit.

I also CT'd for Lena and Tabby back in the day. I think they may have been my first CT. But I've never met either in person.
 
hee hee! I used to CT for Lena and Tab when they designed together, too! (Do you guys even remember that!?!? LOL!)

Now they're both on my CT. :) Love those girls!
 
i don't know anyone IRL but i have made some awesome friends that i would love to meet. Some people are fairly close to me. Seriously, if anyone is ever in my neck of the woods (Kokomo Indiana) we should meet up!
 
I have no friends IRL, they all live in my computer.

J/K! But no, I haven't met anyone from here and don't even know if anyone lives even remotely close to NE WI to ever arrange something.
