Red mud in clothes

We went to a birthday party yesterday and the kids were all out playing in the "'sandbox" which really was red mud from all the rain. I'm guessing most of you in the southern part of the U.S. have experience with this nasty form of dirt? Hoping?
My daughter had on light pink pants and a white sweater (big mistake). As soon as we got home I soaked her clothes in carbona, then washed them in tide and bleach. Still no help. The sweater survived but the end of the pants legs are still stained with red mud. How in the world do I get it out?

I'm not sure what Carbona is...but as long as you didn't put them in the dryer (which will set stains), you can give it another go with a different stain remover...Oxyclean or I've got Shout w/ Oxyclean which I LOOOOVE (it took blood out of one of Natalie's shirts...there's no evidence that it was ever there...it just glommed onto it and removed it, it was awesome).

I know this doesn't help...but I went to visit a friend in upstate South Carolina and they have that red mud up there...the stains never came out of my kids clothes! I have asked her about it and she said that the best thing to do is to wash the mud off ASAP and not let it sit for any period of time.

Ooops I put them in the dryer after the first "treatment" last night. I just finished washing them again. I hate directions (yeah, I'm worse than a man) so of course I didn't read them and just squirted the carbona all over the clothes. Now they reek of stain remover. LOL I'm hoping the smell came out if not the red mud
I'll try oxyclean next. Thanks for the suggestions!
