Has anyone seen this yet? I watched it tonight. I was shocked and saddened by what I saw and kinda disgusted as well. It is about the slaughter and capture of thousands of dolphins (and other whales) every year in Japan. It had at the end after many attempts to film what these fisherman were doing actual footage of the slaughters of the dolphins. It broke my heart to see this happen. It said the fishermen slaughter the dolphins and then sell them as whale meat. They basically drive the dolphins into a cove and some are sold for up to 150,000 dollars then the rest are killed. Apparently it is legal and one of the men doing the documentary said they were told this is "pest control". Apparently the fishermen are being told that dolphins are responsible for some of the decline in certain species of fish and by killing them they are helping to keep fish populations up. Before seeing this documentary though I never knew that this happened.
