Mari-Are these to use with the cricut? I just got one and am wondering if they are and if so, how do you use them with it?

How do I know if my printer/scanner is capable of scanning at 300dpi?
 
You can use them with the Cricut, but I think you have to have the extra software like Sure Cuts A Lot, which the current software is no longer compatible with the Cricut, but if you have the old software, it will work ... I believe Mari has instructions on her blog.
 
Oh... and I've used good ole scissors and x-acto knife with these templates too, since I didn't have a cutting machine before :D
 
Pretty much all scanners can now scan at 300dpi, unless you have one that's really old. Because all scanners are different, I can't tell you exactly how to find it in yours, but when you go to scan, there will be some settings to change the quality of the scan - and that's where you'll find it.

K, it LOOKS like it scans at 200 dpi..I am trying to figure out how to change it..I am thinking of getting your Commerical font thing..but want to make sure I can send you what you need first..

Yes you can use them with your Cricut if you have the correct software...it is no longer supported by Cricut though...but if you have the silhouette you can use the STUDIO files and open it in Silhouette Studio. Congrats on your new machine! ;)

What software do I need? I have the Expression...I know I sound stupid but I literally know nothing about the machine yet..LOL..
What is the Silhouette Studio?
 
yeah you cannot get the software anymore unfortunately...Cricut does not support SVG and as a result if you did not have the software before it was discontinued you cannot use it.
