i do!! i was always pretty blonde as a kid, then it gradually got darker, like a dark blonde or light brown maybe. who knows what my natural hair color is, lol. i've been doing it since 10th grade. i've since learned from mistakes that my hair works best with cooler colors like ashe or natural; if i go golden it looks to reddish and i don't like it. i do it every 3 months or so. i have never gone to a salon but would LOVE to. but i'm afraid i'll love it and then want to fork out the $$ to go there regularly, and its expensive! :D

Yep! I'm naturally blonde, always have been, but I like it really light so I do it myself with Loreal Excellence.

I've tried darker in the past and it just washes out the next day so I guess I was just meant to be blonde.

Yes! I loooooooooooove playing with my hair color. And I save a ton of $$$ because I do it at home. Love going to Sally and getting something fun! Pink hair is the best hair... as long as it doesn't fade out into "peach" hair. Cause then you just look weird. LOL! That's what happened to me last time (and I was pregnant and didn't want to dye my hair a ton, so I was stuck with it). Now I'm a red-ish normal brunette until I have the time to maintain something more fun.

But I've been playing with my hair since I was 12 and it's just the bestest. My hair actually has more volume and behaves better when I dye it.

Yes, I do - my hair is a mousey grey - really booooring, so I need some colour. I was blond, strawberry blond, brown, now have highlights and lowlights. The brown I used to do myself but I now I go to the salon.

I do it myself and have since I was 17. We go grey early in my family, too, and I'd probably be mostly gray if I didn't color. My stylist gave me a hard time last time I cut my hair because apparently I'm compounding my hair by putting home color on it, but it's cheap, and I just go solid black, so there's no need to pay someone else to do it.

Yep! I started highlighting mine in college as it started getting darker so I could maintain my blond hair. In the past few years I've really been fighting my roots so I decided last time I colored to break out of my blondaholic box and go a little darker. Surprisingly, once I got used to it I love it and I'm planning to go a bit darker next time! :)

Me too, Heather. I always went lighter over time, and then the last couple years have been going darker again -- nice to have a change and it makes my eyes look bluer.

From the time I was 14-27, I was never my natural color. Since then, I have been natural. Its the time I had my son. lol I am gonna leave it natural for a bit and then dye again.

I've never colored my hair, unless you count a college experiment with do-it-yourself red highlights that didn't show up at all in my super-dark hair. I like my color as is and am not girly enough to fuss with coloring it every few months, so I probably won't dye until I need to cover gray. When I do start, I'll probably get it done and will have it dyed my natural color.

I voted "yes and I go to a salon" but only because it's partly true, lol. I color my hair quite often, and up until now I've had my SIL do it for me (she's a hairdresser), usually at home, though with her professional tools.

Now that's not an option anymore, lol...so I'll be doing it myself, probably. Haven't totally decided. I want to go blonde, and will probably do it the first time in a salon if I have the money to do it...then just keep it up with kits.
