Racking my brain...and I want to scream

Tomorrow we have a baby shower to go to and I'm attempting to make a card. No big deal right....WRONG! They aren't finding out the gender so I have to come up with a gender neutral card and I am having the hardest time finding a kit to use. I want it to be baby related but I'm thinking that could be near impossible since all of the kits I currently have are boy or girl specific.

:cursing:

Any suggestions?

Pick out some of the gender neutral shades from the kits you have or recolor elements. Or, draw a line down the middle of the card, make half boyish, half girlish, and put your message on a non-gendered box in the middle.

I'd use this kit and say something about "Enjoying your new journey and this wonderful new adventure of parenthood." The colors are perfect for gender neutral and the ballon could be very cute.

This has yellows and greens and I think it is nice and gender neutral.

I also like this one. There are lots of non-pink papers and elements. I think you could get a gender neutral card out of this one.

You would think that out of the 355+ kits and elements that I have, that I would be able to find something lol

LOL! I feel that way all the time... I find myself buying something new, when I knowwww I must have something in my stash that will do the trick!

UGH I just thought of the perfect kit and it's no longer available because it's from one of the new designers and it was in a previous store. :cursing: I knew I should have grabbed it when I had the chance.

No but I believe I have that one in my stash I'll have to check my EHD. I was thinking about Waiting for You or some like that by Jady Day aka Yari.

What about using your embellies from a pink/blue kit together??? Make the card pink & blue. It covers all the bases.

OR, you can use baby-type embellishments as clipping masks to make cut-out shapes in the paper from any kit that looks neutral.

I finally decided on something!!! After racking my brain, and just now deciding. I went with Dani's kit Secret Recipe and made a card with the oven on it, put the bread in the oven, and put "Congratulations on your bun in the oven"

super cute idea. I immediately thought of yaris kit when you originally asked but knew it wasn't currently available.

I always forget to use that idea... clipping mask is our friend! lol
