quick question about your car...kinda random LOL

Today my husband and I were coming home after dropping off our daughter and he had the odometer set on trip (it read 65000 miles so its been awhile since he reset it). I switched it over to mileage cause I was kinda wondering where we were at and was kinda surprised our car is at 215,000 miles...like 20 miles off actually. Our last car was still running at nearly 250,000 miles and would probably still be going today if my husband hadnt had a car accident in it and it was totalled. So just wondering where your's is at if you know about where it is...not an exact number LOL

I'm around there.. I can't remember exactly right now, 223,000 maybe. Aside from you know, my alternator dying the other day lol.. my car still runs pretty ok.

ours does too...well there are little problems I guess like if we run the AC to long the car runs a little hot and the ignition switch has went out like three times but we have had the car for about 4 years now so not to bad. we put alot of miles on our car though cause we live in the middle of the boonies and getting to anything is at least 15 if not more miles away

We're closing in on 63,000 miles on this car. If it weren't for all the long distance driving we do between here and SC, MI, NJ, etc...we'd probably have around half that many miles. We just don't go anywhere unless we're really going somewhere. The car is five years old.

our car is like 12 years old. we have had italmost 4 years. In 4 years we have put about 100,000 maybe 120,000 miles on it.

my 2007 Escape is at around 38000 something. 5000 of that is the trip to and from California, lol. so i should still have my 3 year or 36000 mile warranty if it wasn't for that stupid trip :( :D Now something will go wrong with it.......knock on wood.....

that isnt to bad Lauren...ours is a 97. Before that we had a 94 Pathfinder. I wish we had it still!! I loved that Pathfinder. I swear my husband did very little to maintain it and it still ran great!! It was on the original clutch and motor and well over 200,000 miles on both!!

We bought our Dodge Caravan new in 1999 and it has just over 100, 000 miles on it. We've never had a single thing wrong with it and have only had to do the basic everyday maintenance for it (new tires, oil change and new brakes)!!!!

I have an 06 Tahoe that I drive almost daily and have about 50k on it...We also have 2 Saturns with about 30k on each..they don't get driven a lot really

My old Saturn that I got when I grad college (it was a 95)..I kept until 2 years ago. I got 287,000 miles on it and it was still in great condition. Sold it very cheap to a sweet babysitter and I THINK she's still driving it today!

Saturns are supposed to be very good cars according to my hubby (he has been a mechanic for 20 some odd years)

yep we're on our 3rd Saturn actually...(we have a vue and an ion) but when kid #4 came along we needed something ev1 could ride in so we went with the Tahoe. I still drive a Saturn around when it's just me and a kid or two. Much better gas mileage than the Tahoe..pretty sure the oldest kid will inherit it in 3 years lol

20,000 and we've had it a little over a year. I too live in the boonies and it's amazing how quickly those trips add up! :)

My hubby's pickup is a 97 and it has 75,000 and still going strong :)

I'm at just over 80,000 and my car is 5 years old. It's in desperate need of a tune up and good thorough cleaning (carpets, seats, etc.)

Ours is 152,000, but it's 13 years old. There's a few things that go wrong here or there, but the way I figure it's cheaper to fix those things than to have a car payment :)

Mine has around 45,000 miles. It is less than 2 years old, it's a 2008 Chev Uplander. We have to travel a lot for just about everything, the joys of very isolated towns in Canada LOL. It's worked great so far, no problems at all.

Our truck has about 65,000 miles on it...it's an '05 that we bought in 07.
Our car has about 63,000 miles on it...and it's a 1989 Olds...basically a granny car that was only driven to the grocery store and to church. We've owned it for 3 years and it's been a really good (and cheap) car.

Defenitely!!! When we had a car accident and our Pathfinder was totalled I told my husband we should go used and he *almost* bought a brand new car. I am soooooo thankful now that he didnt and listened to me when I said just find a good used car. We looked at about 2 dozen used cars and searched for over a month before we found the one we have now. Had he bought the used car we would have had about a 400 dollar car payment every month right now!!

DH's F-150 is a 2006 with only 18,000..but it basically sat in our garage for a year while he was deployed lol. I was supposed to drive it every now and then but it's not easy climbing up in that big truck when you're 8 months pregnant lol

I'm at 155,000 on my jeep and 145,000 on my car. I do tons of travel since I work about 30 miles from work.

Mine has 2,000 miles on it but I got it in April.

We traded in the Trailblazer and it had about 54,000 on it over 4 years.

Now my husband put 45,000 on his truck last year.

The '01 Contour (Jordan's old car) has around 135,000 on it. We'll probably replace it this fall cuz I really want a new car.
Jordan bought an '08 Acura TL last fall for cheap, but we only use that for long trips to NY or Western MD or whatever. I'm not sure how many miles the TL has on it, but it's not a lot, lol. The contour is our everyday car, because GOD FORBID we drive the nice car. :glare:

My 1996 Honda Odyssey is at 143,000 miles and still going strong! I'll get at least another 100k out of it baring any major disaster. Thats why I  Hondas.

Our '89 Accord that we sold 2 1/2 years ago was at about 328,000km and it ran for at least a year after that (we sold it to a family friend). Our Civic is only a 2003 so it's at about 83,000km right now.

I have a 99 Ford Windstar with 158,000 miles on it. It should run forever now cause I just rebuilt the transmission on it last month. I also have a 95 Chevy Beretta with 150,000 miles on it, but it hasn't run in a year. My dh is gonna fix it up in the next week or so. I am so excited to have that car back. Its my baby I bought it when I was in high school and it was only 2 years old. :p

I have the 2007 one, I'm just over 25,000 - it's almost exactly 2 years old

Very interesting thread! I'm surprised at all the old cars -- my DH acts like I'm risking my life every time I drive because my car is SO OLD  -- it's a 2001 Tahoe that we bought in 2000. So, nearly 9 years old and just above 100,000 miles. I've never had a single serious problem with that car so I don't see the point in getting a new one, although I would LOVE to get a Mini-Cooper some day!

My minivan is a 2001 and it has over 160,000 on it. My son is driving it now. My husbands truck probably has close to that amount too. My car is less than a year and has less than 10,000...I bought it used with 7800 miles on it, and I'm hoping to keep the miles really low on it!
