Quick Prayers, Please

Last night DH played softball and had a collision with another player as he was running bases. He was flipped in the air and landed and slid... His leg is all messed up, lots and lots of skin missing, etc. He woke up this morning with a fever (almost 102) and admitted he hit his head in the fall, too. We're on our way to the Dr. right now and I'm actually a bit scared. With his history of brain stuff...idk, but I'm kinda freaking out.

Prayers would be appreciated!
 
On no Jennifer! I'm so sorry. I hope the doctor will get him some relief and that it's nothing serious. Please keep us posted when you can. Lots of P&PT! {{{HUGS}}}
 
Thank you guys sooooooo much...looks like he's going to be fine. His leg is a mess, but they cleaned it really well, gave him an antibiotic cream, and showed us how to wrap it with non-stick dressing. He also has an oral antibiotic to ward off any infection.

His head--we'll know for sure Monday, but his doc thinks he's ok. Possibly a minor concussion, but nothing serious. IDK if you guys know, but about 2 years ago we found out that he has some lesions on his brain from some old sports injuries. He started having seziures and after a very scary, scary period, we learned that it was "only" lesions (instead of something very bad). He takes 3 medications every day to control the seizures and has to avoid several things to help keep everything stable. Anyway, long story short, this history is why I freaked this morning. He was all shaky, had slurred speech, and then the fever...I guess I jumped to conclusions that it was worse than it turned out to be--thank goodness. :)

So--yucky leg, bad headache, but he's going to make it. Thank you for all of your prayers--I truly believe they make a difference!!! :wub:
 
Jen I am so sorry...prayers for all of you!!! Hope all goes well with the test on his head. So glad that everything is going to be ok.
 
Oh Jen, I am so happy your hubby is ok, just keep an eye on him! ;)
Boo To Baseball! It ended up in a broken collar bone for my hubby this year...he is still off work...don't these boys know how to play gentle, LOL!:p
