Quick Opinion Needed

I'm working on this layout, I don't have the embellishments done yet or anything, but I cannot decide which version looks better. I started with the white paper, and thought I would clip the rainbow paper to the hearts, but then when I tossed it onto the canvas, I decided it looked cool as a background, so now I can't decide... and I feel like I can't really embellish until I decide which background. Ugh. HELP!

I like the painted one better... but I would lighten up the pictures so they aren't so dark and pop a bit
 
I like the white one better! Or you can always mess with blend modes to get a slight pattern on a light background.

My mom ended up being a huge fan of the painted one, so I decided to brush some white on behind the title and journaling to help it pop a little more, and matte the photos. I also lightened up the photos a bit, so that helped, I think.
