Quick! I need your advice!

I just ordered custom fonts for all the mother's in my life for Mother's day!!! okay and maybe for myself... and for my sister... and all of our grandmas. :D I want to preserve their handwriting forever and ever! I have done all of these video interviews with our grandparents and thought, how cool would it be to type up their stories in their very own handwriting??? AWESOME!

So here's my question... Should I get these for the guys in the family too? Their handwriting is pretty terrible and I just don't know how much they really will care about it. They will probably NEVER use it, but I would use it whenever I scrapped pictures of them, or typed stories they told me. Do I NEED their awful, hard to read handwriting in a font, simply because it is theirs and I will already have all of the ladies' fonts??

If it makes your heart sing, do it. I cherish stuff in both my parents writing and in my grandma's but I really don't have hardly anything in my grandfather's writing. But I can say I would never have a font made of my son's writing as it is truly illegible.

If you don't think they'll care and their handwriting is hard to read, I wouldn't. I'd scan in something they wrote to preserve their writing but scrap their stories in a more legible font.

I'm not saying this because I'm biased at all (snicker), but I truly truly wish I would had my maternal grandfather's font done, and I'm still trying to talk my Dad into it. They were very special men in my life, and theirs are the ones I'd want to have.

The rest you can find a manly font that you can substitute to speak for them. Most people, when they write me, just really wish they'd had Mom's writing.

this. I wouldn't care to have my dad's. My grandpa wrote notes all the time, so I'd just scan that in.

If you want them and would use them, I think you should get them.

I did my dad's and my brother's. But, I love both of their handwriting. I don't know that I'd bother with my other brothers or my hubby. It's more like chicken scratches with them. Lol.

ETA: But, yeah, if you would use them, and it would be meaningful to you, then do it. :D

I would love to have my dad's, just because he's my dad. But Darcy you would probably HATE me when we submitted it. Ha! It's chicken scratch! And as he's gotten older, he's gotten a little bit shakier and it's getting worse. I used to work at his office when I was younger and people would come to me to decipher notes he would write for them. It's that bad! Ha!

haha if it's anything like my dad and grandpa, there's no point. my dad's got the worst illegible handwriting ever and he's a teacher! bahahaha!

I think you should do it!! For sure!! I actually just bought mine this week and plan on using it on all my layouts from now on.

I surprised my daughter with one tonight. She's excited to be able to use her own handwriting on her computer.
