Question on creating yearly albums

I have SO many photos, both printed and digital, that I've decided it's time to get organized and do something with them. I've decided the best way to do that is to create a family album for each year. That way I could display them neatly: 2014, 2013, 2012, etc.

I was thinking that I'd do one to two pages per month, (maybe more for Christmas or vacation months).

My question: do you know of any good yearly or monthly digi-scrap kits, templates, layout ideas, etc?

Thanks so much! So "inspired" by all of you here on this site!

I only do family albums, although like our Disney trip was one album.

I do try to do 4 albums or less per year, so like quarterly. Like mine are usually January-March 2013 for example or something like that.

Before my youngest son was born, I'd gotten down to 2 albums a year. So I had January-September 2011, then I had October-December 2011. I jump around when I'm scrapping, I just don't print until I have that time frame finished.

Lauren Grier has an [everyday] series right now she's been working on. https://www.sweetshoppedesigns.com/sweetshoppe/product.php?productid=27718&cat=0&page=1

Penny Springmann has the "this life:" series. https://www.sweetshoppedesigns.com/sweetshoppe/product.php?productid=23983&cat=0&page=1

Traci Reed has been doing monthly collections called Pocket Life: https://www.sweetshoppedesigns.com/sweetshoppe/product.php?productid=27859&cat=0&page=1

I just linked to 1 kit in the series, to give you an idea.

Janet's Easy Albums would be perfect for putting a coordinated year long album together quickly. Here is one sample, I think there are 3 editions in the shop.

If you need more page options Janet's '2 Many Photos' templates have room for tons of pictures . Just go to the 2 Page Template section of the shop and you'll find a large selection.

Finally, you might consider looking at some of the 'year in review' templates and adapting them for a month. Here are a couple of possibilities.

Thank you so much!

Wow! You both have given me GREAT ideas for the annual albums. Can't wait to get started. Thanks so much!

Yep, I second those template suggestions. I did a monthly summary a few years ago. You can click on the P12 on my siggie to see the pages.

I love these templates by Janet too. I used them for a trip to the theme parks last year, but they could easily be used for monthly summaries:

Here's one of my pages:
