Question for our Texas scrappers

I NEED a bluebonnet fix. Are they out yet?

I'm heading for Houston & MAYBE the Austin area the week after Easter and am HOPING the wildflowers hold off until I'm down there!
 
none that I have seen yet....but, I don't get out much! I will have to ask DH but I'm sure someone else will come along by then and let ya know!
 
It's a little early yet, isn't it?? I only spent two springs in Texas, but I recall them coming towards late March and lasting through May. And I never once got a picture of the boys with those flowers! A sure sign I'm not meant to be a Texan. :p
 
Our Bradford Pears just started blooming in North Texas this week, so bluebonnets won't be far behind, though you'll see them a bit further south before you'll see them here.
 
I haven't seen any in the San Antonio area. I was hoping there would be some out next week while I'm off. I'd even be willing to drive up to Fredricksburg and do a little shopping, er I mean snap a few pictures.
 
Not here YET ~ But I am saving my pennies. For mothers day we are doing family pictures in the bluebonnets. Everyone says this year is going to be one for the record books with all the rain!
 
I'm hoping so! I haven't been back for bluebonnet season since I got married :(

We'll probably head out to Chappell Hill and Washington-on-the-Brazos, and MAYBE do an overnight in the Austin area. Then it'll be time to start hounding designers for the perfect bluebonnet kit :P
 
I have not seen any....with the cold weather it's a little early...the Austin area/hill country is your best bet. I am 30 min from Houston, definitely none here!
 
Not yet but we are doing bluebonnet pics this year too - our first family portraits actually (I know that's terrible)...

I know they usually pop up around my anniversary M<arch 24- so they should be here soon!

Hey....I'm in SA too! Im over near Sea World outside the loop.
 
I've only seen peeks...but Julie's new kit seems pretty good for bluebonnet pics!

They're always out in early April...we do pics ever year like clockwork. I can't wait! I haven't seen any yet myself though. But our pear tree is blooming and it is GORGEOUS!

*sigh*...I love spring! I just wish summer wasn't following behind :glare:.
