QOTD - Year In Photos Pages - 12.01.15

Do you do a yearly roundup/year in photos page at the end of the year? Please share your pages if you do. I need to do three this year and need some inspiration!

I like to look back at how much the kids have changed so I usually try to do one but I'm lazy and hate having to resize/clipping mask all the photos into one size.

I did this one for Ellie's first year:

I do not. I figure all the pictures are already in the book(s) somewhere, seems like a waste of time to rescrap them...

I do it for a baby's first year since there's such a huge change but not for other years. I make a calendar in Dec using all the best photos for the year, and after the year's over I save it with our scrapbooks. I think of it like a "Best of 20?? minibook, so I don't feel the need to do a page, too.

I have with my son for a few years... I just like to see how he changed through out the year, even though at this point, it's less than when he was younger.



One of my favorite year in review was current events... I wish I kept it up, but finding photos is hard! I did it for two years...

I'll probably do one for the Dec Bingo challenge, but not one of one kid... because then I'd have to do three, lol! I was thinking about a fave pic from each month.

One year on New Year's Eve I did a highlight of the year all in words. I really liked the way it turned out.

eta: but if I had little ones I could see doing a photo a month because they change so much.

I haven't done yearly round ups in a long time. I have done them in the past - usually of my girls. Sometimes I'll have a selection of photos of them from the same year, while other times I'll scrap various photos of them from birth to that current year. Here are some examples:

I did this about all the nephews and nieces, but with 12 spaces for photos and journalling, this one is a great template for summarising the year.

This one is an interview of my daughter, but you could easily insert photos into the spaces, and still have room to write notes.

These may be Christmas templates, but they could easily be adapted for an end of year review. Actually any of Cindy's 2-pagers would work well. She also has lots of single page Snapshot templates too.

I've done them in baby albums.... just for the first year. That's it.
One year I did take a new pic every month of myself and the boys as calendar pages (I am one of those that doesn't like using old pics in a calendar so I did mine 1 month at a time -- trying to force myself to get over that this year lol).... anyway, I bet they would look cute all on the same page together.... I might try it for funsies sometime. lol

Christine fromally ListGirl Designs used to make awesome templates with tons of photos of the last two numbers of the year, this year it would be 15, I made those every year while she was still doing it. Now I don't make one.
