If all goes well, we'll be snowed in tomorrow! (And just so we're clear, here in the Washington, DC area that means anything over 2 inches. Go ahead and laugh--I'm a transplanted New Englander and understand. But in our defense, we don't have enough snow removal equipment to keep up with it like they do in places that get more snow.)
This summer we packed up most of our main level to have it repainted and new floors put in. Then right after the painting was done we had some water damage and had to put off the flooring to space out the expenses. This week the flooring will FINALLY be put in! So we're going to spend a lot of this weekend clearing out everything that has crept back to the main level between July and now. There's a lot less to deal with than there was the first time we did it, but it's still going to take a while. And then next weekend, once the floors are done, we can finally bring everything back, hang things on the walls again, etc. We've been in limbo for months; I can't wait for it all to be done and for our house to feel lived in instead of somewhat sterile and empty.
