Qotd: Weekend! How are you spending your weekend? (02/09)

Another week has gone by. How are you spending your weekend?

I have the day off today.
I had a dentist appointment. I just did some cleaning as well.
We'll likely have snow later on today. They ask everyone to stay inside. It's cold and very sunny at the moment so I don't know what to expect. Not sure how I'll be spending the weekend. It depents on the amount of snow.

How about you?
 
A big snowstorm came through last night & this morning. Including the 4 or 5 inches of snow we already have, I bet we now have a foot & a half (45+ cm --- is that the measurement you use in metric countries?!). It's supposed to stop this evening... and then start again Saturday night. DD and I went out and played in the snow a little. DS has a runny nose & cough so he's been inside all day.

The snow was too deep for us to get out so DH has been working from home & I got my work done yesterday so I wouldn't have to go in to the office today. We're having tot-chos (nacho toppings on top of baked tater tots --- SO GOOD!) for dinner and then watching a movie.

Hopefully the alley will get plowed out tonight or tomorrow. My daughter's Girl Scout activity tomorrow has already been cancelled, and my movie date with my grandfather probably will be, too, once he sees how much snow we've gotten but we will need to make it to the store tomorrow or Sunday for groceries.

I can't wait for winter to be over!

We have been having a lot of snow too..except here we don't really measure it. When it gets to the height of our trampoline base I just say "oh... i guess that's a lot" hahaha
 
Oh wow LA that's a LOT of snow.

IT started snowing here as well. We had just a few cm (not even an inch).
I went out for a while for a walk.
 
I don't have anything fun planned for the weekend.

I need to start getting tax stuff together and should probably do some cleaning.

What I want to do is sit at my computer & scrap!

We'll see what wins out :p
 
Another crappy weather weekend in our forecast here. We have a ton of snow up here where I am. It feels like the tundra. LOL

My oldest and only boy turns 14 on Sunday, so Sunday we celebrate! He's requested a homemade vanilla cake with raspberry white chocolate buttercream between the layer, then a raspberry glaze with toasted coconut and white chocolate shavings. He knows I live for creating fancy cakes so this should be fun!

But sad...my baby is growing up too fast!
 
We have an auction as a fundraiser at school, and this year some of the teachers auctioned off a few hours of babysitting time. So tomorrow I'll be babysitting one of my students. Sunday we'll go buy new closet doors then we have some kid activities. We're supposed to have a warm and rainy weekend--such a waste of warm days!

I'm impressed--your 14 year old's taste is WAY more sophisticated than my 14 year old's! Chocolate and peanut butter is about as far as he'd get describing the cake he wanted, LOL.

Well, the snow here is gone. It snowed a few hours yesterday. But it's all gone.
I'm a little disappointed on one hand. I would have loved a little more snow. On the other hand... No snow makes driving and going out a little easier.
