Pulled off a scrap miracle

Just wanted to post this as a reminder to everybody to back up everything including the layouts that you've completed but haven't uploaded to the website yet. I had kept up with the challenges this month but hadn't uploaded them when my phone decided to purge things that wasn't supposed to. I had to go back and scrap from December 15th and I didn't even remember the layouts that I had done so I had to start from scratch. I had never done that many to start with and cannot believe that I pulled it off with an extra ten. That's not saying I'm proud of of some of them, they aren't my best work but I got it done . BACK UP (and upload work you've completed lol)

Do you just scrap on your phone? Or do you just post your web layouts from your phone?

You killed it by doing all those layouts! WOW!

I have Backblaze as a computer backup. It's always a good reminder to make sure that it's working and that the backups are up-to-date!

Ashley, I need you to screen record you scrapping on your phone! I'm still in awe that all of your fab LOs are done there and would love to see more!

Yeah I scrap for my phone completely so my only backup option is my SD card and Dropbox. And because it takes up too much memory I don't have the actual Dropbox app so I have to manually go in and back up everything by hand so I get lazy. Lol

A great reminder for sure! And - I agree - WOW that you're able to scrap your beautiful layouts from your phone! Can't wait to see how it's done!!!

What an accomplishment! That's amazing you were able to get it done! I back up everything to the cloud as soon as I finish layouts. My computer used to do it automatically, but I got a new computer and can't figure it out, so I do it manually also.

Oh wow that is for sure an accomplishment! I too am blown away by your phone scrapping! I feel like I can't function without my 3 monitors! lol!

I'm definitely getting on the bandwagon, what apps do you use! Your shadows are amazing and even just where you store everything would be so interesting! You rock!

On your phone?!?! I am millennial enough where I need my big computer for big things and that includes scrapping. Good on you for finishing!

I am glad you did not lost anything, Ashley!
You are so cool for scrapping with your phone!

In awe over here. I can barely see the screen of my phone, so I know I couldn't ever scrap on it. Amazing.

I scrap on my iPad and think I need more screen so I cannot imagine scrapping on my phone! Amazing layouts!

I think in the DropBox app…at least on my iPad…I can decide what is stored on my iPad and what is online only. This way everything backs up automatically.

I cannot wait to see how you scrap on your phone and how you store and access your files!

Wow, that is amazing that you scrap from your phone! ... and yes, definitely back everything up! I automatically save everything to the cloud because I'm so fearful of losing anything.

Holy cow I did not expect to get that many responses and compliments. I am extremely flattered!! While I would love to take credit for all of the shadowing I have to fess up that on certain templates from certain designers they include a separate layer that includes the shadow however that is just on the paper not on the elements. I have to add the shadow every time to each element. It's kind of hard to explain but I need to do a screen record like Robin said and show everybody how I do it.

It's extremely primitive and I have been wanting to make the leap to a laptop at some point but Photoshop is extremely intimidating. But currently I scrap from a phone that is not my daily use phone. It has better graphics more storage and just overall the better phone. I've deleted every unnecessary app and I also have two separate memory cards that I use to store all of my stuff on. Unfortunately the phone has taken a few too many drops and it's becoming a little hard to see but I don't see any extra funds in the near future so I'll just keep my fingers crossed but when I do finally make the leap I'm going to need lots of input and I'll have lots of questions from everybody before I decide on which direction I go when buying a device.

Again thank you all for the wonderful and much needed confidence boost. Y'all are all very very amazing!

Don't be intimidated by Photoshop, Ashley! Once you learn it, you'll love how much you can do with it :)

Which apps do you guys use to scrap on your devices? I received a huge fancy iPad for my wedding anniversary. My first ever apple product! I would love to scrap on it or on my android tablet!!!

This is the one I use. You are Very limited with how many layers you have, you're "save progress" is not.. Great. BUT it has been the only way Ive been able to scrap this whole time so I won't be a crybaby lol
