PSE7 Help!

In your Character Palette there should be a button that has like two uppercase Ts on it (like TT), make sure it's turned off or else you'll get all caps.
 
LOL! Sorry, I would have been more specific but I've never used PSE so I'm not sure what it's called exactly or where it would be. You might try under Window>Character?

When you have the text tool selected does it bring up a menu of any sort? Like where you'd choose advanced options for your font - italics, adjusting the space between lines, that sort of thing?

You could also try resetting your text tool and see if that solves the problem.

No, I don't get any "advanced" settings. Just the usual stuff. At least, not that I know of. lol I haven't been using it very long.
 
Yeah, I think I'm seeing the same thing so it's not that that's causing the problem.

Maybe try deleting your Preference file and see if that fixes it? I think if you hold down Ctrl+Alt+Shift when you start PSE, it will give you the option to recreate it.
 
Deb I use PSE6 but maybe it might be the same for you!!

To reset my text tool there is a little drop down arrow beside my font choice "window" and I just click on it and chose reset tool. Hopefully that will work for you!!!
