PSA: Electric Blankets & Phones don't mix :P

you're like stars
Since it gets so chilly I sleep with an electric blanket (has a 10hr safety off, but who has 10 hrs straight to sleep haha). Anyway, I took my phone to bed with me and at some point it got tangled up in the blanket AND I threw it off of me so it was bunched in a ball.......... cooking my poor phone! Eep. It's fine now.. but I got that handy dandy temperature warning display. It couldn't have been in the blanket for more than an hour or two as I remember looking at it for the time at 545. Poor phone.. I don't know how it would have fared if it had just cooked straight through the night :P It was really really hot haha. So. Please don't snuggle up with your phone and a heated blanket. Put the phone on your nightstand like a normal person.

The need a warning on the label for this! LOL! I think more people end up sleeping with their phones than you think! I've done it too!

Glad it worked out ok!

eeek. Scary!
Glad your phone is ok (and you, too!) Love electric blankets, but the hubby doesn't, so I don't get one. Boo.

Oh man...I usually put my phone on my bedside chest but there are times that I do fall asleep with it next to me. I'll have to remember this because I NEED my electric blankie just as much as I need my phone. LOL!

Oh goodness! Glad it didn't cook your phone to death!

As an aside, I don't think I could sleep in my bed with an electric blanket but dang it sounds cozy for my basement!

I sleep with mine sometimes, but thankfully it doesn't get cold enough here for a heated blanket :P Although, I have left it in the car in mid Aug before... no bueno. lol

You scared me before I read this as I have a heated blanket wrapped around me now with my laptop & phone on my lap! lol
