PSA: Do not do the Bamboo Fun driver update!!!

I was having trouble with my Bamboo, so I checked for a driver update and found one. DO NOT DO IT!! After installing and rebooting, Photoshop no longer started (and Lightroom isn't working either!). Andrew and I did some digging on my laptop, tried to do a restore point (couldn't as there aren't any?!) and then tried to repair it through the add/remove program section. Turns out PS and LR were uninstalled when I did that update. Gah!! I can't attribute it to anything else since the driver update is the only thing outside the norm that I did today. Sigh...
 
OH no! I am so sorry! I hate it when this happens! I would just be crushed if and when some of these horror stories happen to me!
 
Thanks NeeNee! In the grand scheme of "disasters", this is nothing. It's easy enough to reinstall and I'm grateful it's not worse. It's just a bit disconcerting that a driver update could cause this to happen.
 
Very true! It could have been worse. Although to reinstall my PS I would have to email or call to get my info. cuz my DH had a brain fart and deleted all of my emails that I was saving! Ugh!
