PS CS3 on a Mac

Anyone use PSCS3 on a Mac? Is it possible to drag and drop files from Finder to open them? This is how I always opened everything on my PC but I can't seem to get it to work. I have a feeling I'm missing something obvious. :D

Not exactly, although I did wonder if that would work. On my PC I would have a file folder open next to the Photoshop window and I could just drag the files from the folder into Photoshop and they would automatically open. But it doesn't seem to work on the Mac. I think it might be because there's no actual program window so when you click on the folder Photoshop seems to go away?

So what's the easiest way to open files? I've been just double clicking but not all the files are associated with Photoshop by default so I'm having to do an Open With every time.

well i drag to the taskbar but if you want to double click you just need to right click (i don't use the adobe mouse i need my right button) and then when you right click - choose program - other then pick ps then those files will now be associated with ps. there is a little box to check on the bottom left hand side that says always open with this program.

I'm not using CS3 but if you want to change what files are associated with Photoshop, hit Apple I (to Get Info) and towards the bottom you can change what program will open that file.

Yeah I know, I just don't want all the files associated with Photoshop automatically. I'd rather they open in preview since if I'm just trying to look at them real quick, I don't want Photoshop starting up. I did change all the .psd files to open automatically in Photoshop though.
