Project 365 2010 - who's with me?

I so want to do p365 this year! I thought it was a great idea last year, but had no computer! lol. I definately am going to try it this year-hopefully I can keep up.

What is the 'book of me'? that sounds like something I'd wanna try too. I try to scrap pics of myself now and then, since I love seeing stuff/pics of my mom when she was younger. I want to have stuff for my girls to look back at and see what I was like!

I am in *awe* of all of you that can manage to do 365. I could never find the time-LOL! I am planning on doing 52 though, and I saw someone post about making them 4" x 6". I can then print them as photos and let my DD's look at them in an album as the year unfolds. I also need some theme ideas...

The Book of Me is great! I will be turning 30 in May, and I wanted to do "something" to document my 30th year. I think I just found what it will be!!

I'm in... I've kept up with the photos all year... but pooped out on the scrapping in March. I totally agree on plan now! I changed my templates that I was using in mid year and had to go back and redo the ones that I did get done... now I'm set on what I'm going to do and go from there... now just need to scrap them!

I'm going to do a photo a week this year. I did 365 for 2009 and I actually kept up with it but I'm sooooo glad it's almost over. hahaha! I love to take pictures and I'm sure I'll take plenty. I just don't want to feel like I have to every single day.

 I would like too! I've made a template pack that I'm selling, but I'm hoping it will motivate me! we will see :p

I'm pretty good about updating my blog 3-4 times a week so I hope to keep up that way!!! and i just had an idea.....

I am going to take a picture of my family {individually} on the day their birthday falls on...so for me I will take a picture on the 27th of every month...DS on the 20th, DD the 16th and so on.....that will take up 6 days of the month every month :) and I would like to take a family shot every month on the same day! even if it is impromtu!

I'm on the fence about this. I didn't keep up with it in 2009 very well. I think I made it into March or April before I pooped out. But, having a monthly theme or certain photos that you take every month would definitely help me. I think I might use my Memory Logbook to make little notes about the pics that I take so that at the end of the year, I have a record of why I took each picture and any story that goes with it. I'm finding more and more great uses for my Logbook!

Oy. I realllly realllllly want to...I made it to November this year and then with the rush of everything that goes on the last 2 months of the year, I became totally uninspired. I did a 365 of Claire's first year and was able to finish that, I think that maybe that contributed to me getting burnt out....I also used my blog to update and that was SO monotonous for me, lol. I think I'll upload to my smugmug account this year since I do that already to back up my photos. Yes, I'm determined!!!!!

I am gonna do it. But I am not going to force myself to scrap and post the pics everyday. I think I will do a weekly blog post and just get like photog template to put them all in. plus I think those would make a cool graphic style photo book :)

I think I'm gonna attempt 365 this year. I just hope I can stick to it. I've already warned my husband not to gripe when I whip the camera out....Thats a step in the right direction....right?

Oh that is a great idea Kay - I like the one a week idea so I don't feel stressed if I don't make it each day.

Does anyone who has done P365 in the past keep up with it on their blogs too?

I started posting them on my blog when I did it in 2008 but didn't keep up. This year I posted most of them once a week with Lotus' Weekly Winners meme but often I posted other photos instead. I have all my photos in my Flickr stream and on Facebook.

I got it for that reason! And I love that every month they have suggestions of things to take photos of every month

So, Tracy......did you use one or two particular kits for your 2009 P365? Or stick with a color theme.....did you use templates? Spill......

I REALLY want to do this for 2010. I started in 2009, but wasn't able to take a picture every single day..most days, but not everyday. I can defiinitely get a group of pics that represent each week, but I know I will miss a day here and there.

I really like what Nikki did with her Month in Review pages(https://www.sweetshoppecommunity.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=113674&cat=all&ppuser=1012).

I was also thinking of using Misty's new pages-decorating them ahead of time and then adding the pics for the days that I have pictures for as I take them throughout the year. https://www.sweetshoppedesigns.com/sweetshoppe/product.php?productid=19612&cat=0&page=1

And how about you Jennifer.......same ?'s as Tracy's above please......I need to plan.:p

I used a QP set by Sweet Genevieve that had a white background and no texture so I could move around things as I needed them. There's also a cover & spine for the front and back of a Shutterfly book so I don't have to make one myself! It's no longer for sale though. :( Maybe a designer here could make something like it? ;)

Neenee - I used more of a general color scheme (orange, blue, yellow and browns).

This year I plan to use the more neutral elements (all the holiday mystery gifts by the SSD designers) with splashes of color thrown in depending on the month/season. I also am trying to come up with or find about 5 or 6 templates that I really like so I can just rotate them throughout the year. I found it hard to keep coming up with new layout designs and ended up actually using a few over again just to save time this year.

It's hard to use a template (for me anyway) because the sizes of the pictures change from week to week (portraitvs. landscape) so you'd have to choose one that you could switch the picture size depending on what you took that day.

I would also like to try and stick with it this year. I think I made it about a week and that was the end of it.

That is my plan...to be able to move the pics...I loved how you were able to do that with yours.

I am loving reading about what worked (and didn't work) for everyone last year. I didn't even try last year but this year I am seriously considering it. I figure I have a few more days to come up with a plan. LOL!

I made it through until July - then just got tuckered out. And I wasn't scrapping them then. I would really like to do something for 2010 though. I love the idea of a monthly theme.

i think im going to try to do the photos, but i know i wont keep up with the scrapping so im not even going to pretend that i will. I do ok with month in review layouts so ill just keep doing that i think.

I love the idea of having a theme though. And of taking each family members portrait on their birthday date each month. Ive done this for my son for the last 6 months (tho sometimes im a day or two late...) so i like the idea of doing it for my husband and i too. Definately think we need some photo prompts to keep us motivated.

I started mine in June so I'm halfway through. Taking pictures hasn't been the hard part for me, it's all the editing and scrapping that I have trouble keeping up with. My advice would be to make sure you have a plan for how you're going to deal with your photos before you start: how often will you upload and process them, how often will you scrap them. Having a layout/book plan before you start is a good idea too. It's really easy to get behind with this project so the more you can have ready before you start, the better off you'll be.

I attempted this in 2009, and fizzled out in March. I think that for 2010 I will either do a Weekly or Month in Review...haven't committed yet. :)

I would like to do it too, but I also need a plan! i would just hate to get like say 7 months in and have the stomach flu and forget to take a picture and then it'd be all for nothing. What do you do if you do miss a day or what have you, but want to continue? :)
