Problem Uploading to the Gallery

I have tried unsuccessfully since early this afternoon, to upload to my Gallery....I keep getting the message that my file size exceeds the limit....I have never, ever had this problem before....I have resized my Layout down so much it looks like a thumbnail image when Uploaded to the Gallery....Please can someone tell me why I'm having problems?

This is the Layout that I'm trying to Upload for the March 11th-Journal Challenge....

try uploading it normally, but instead of writing all your credits on the first page, wait till you hit submit and then write it all out on the second page. That helped me (thanks to Leila!!)

That usually works! The few times I've received the "exceeds file size limit" message, I've had to resize the image and save it under a different name. The different name was the key for me on those.

I just uploaded a layout and I had no problems with it. What is the image size you are trying to upload. When you click on an image on your computer you can right-click and choose proerties and itll tell you the image size in kilobytes as well as the dimensions. I think this site has a limit on the size and on the dimensions but if you resized it that small it should be ok

yeah just make sure it's 150kb or less and try putting the credits in on the 2nd screen not the first one...

I truly appreciate all of the help you have all offered me....I cannot for the life of me figure out why I can't get this re-sized small enough for the Gallery....I have over 40 layouts posted and have never run into this problem before.... The Layout I posted earlier in my Gallery is soooooooooo small that you can't even see it....That was to get the size down abit less than 150 KB's....I am so bummed 'cause I can't possibly link to it to get the point for the March 11th-Journal Challenge since it is like microscopic....

I've got to get to bed because 3:40 a.m. comes early and I need to be able to get up for work tomorrow....Perhaps after a good nights sleep, I'll be able to figure it out....

resize to 500x500 and save for web @ 150kb or less...I think maybe you were just resizing down when the problem wasn't really the LO size. Sometimes the gallery hiccups and doesn't like a lot of credits/journaling in the box on the first upload page.

yep, what Meg said. the image in your post is like 420kb. so just make sure it's under 150kb instead.
