printing paper

what do you gals use to print your elements on to do a hybrid? cardstock? if so what kind and texture? I haven't done this yet, but I think it might be in my future!

I have an Epson printer, so I use their Premium Presentation Matte paper.

I like to create a document and size all my pieces, then create a new 8.5x11 document and drag and drop them all onto that. I try and cram as much stuff as possible onto each 8.5x11 that I print. :)

I print the same way Colleen does.

I have a kodak, so I use staples double sided matte photo paper for mine, or the epson paper if I can find it!

Yeah, I print through Photoshop, I've gone through my printer menu and customized my print settings to run through Photohsop as well.

I used to use cardstock, but it really soaks up the ink and now my printer refuses to take heavier stock paper. After a 20 minute stand in the paper aisle at Staples I got some help. I ended up buying photo paper for sturdier items (boxes, etc.) and glossy laser printer paper for everything else. I didn't think the laser paper would work in my inkjet, but the guy at Staples said it would and he was right!

I wish someone made an inkjet coated cardstock that would hold ink well and still be durable for us crafters!

I use the same approach Colleen uses with trying to get as much as I can on my 8.5" x 11" piece of paper. I don't have borderless printing so I always select Scale to Fit Media in my printer settings in PSE so that everything prints on the page.

I have an HP, so I like to use the HP Everyday Photo paper in matte. It's a bright white, and heavier than regular paper, but not quite as thick as cardstock so it goes through the printer nicely.

I do not print from Photoshop directly. I save a flattened copy of the print page and then open that jpg outside of PS and print it that way.
I have the ability to print borderless and take advantage of that as well. I have my printer defaults set to my hybrid needs, which is nice since I rarely print anything else at home. In the advanced settings, look around and find a slider for scaling the image to print. Mine is set to the absolute minimum so that there is very little scaling when I print. That way everything comes out exactly as I sized it to print.
