Printing Dani's Calendars???

Ok, so for the sake of time (and because they are just too darn cute), I am thinking of using Dani's 8.5 x 11 or 4 x 6 calendar kits to make some Christmas gifts.

My question is...how would you print them? I have an ink hog of a printer so I would definitely want to have them done somewhere else. What type of paper would you use? Can anyone suggest where I could have them printed and bound?

Also, does anyone know if Shutterfly does 4x6 calendars. In Dani's description on that set, it says something about them, but I can't find it on the site.

Looking for any kind of help I can get to get myself in gear for these gifts.

Thanks!

when I've printed calendars in the past, I printed one copy at home and then took them to Staples and had color copies made for 39 cents each (last year, they did them double sided for me, but in previous years I just glued the pages together). They have a house cardstock that is decent, which I've used. One year, I took them a disk and they printed them. Then, they can just bind them and put a clear cover on for a couple of bucks.

Well if you can get it done by friday there are tons of codes on ebay for shutterfly. I bought 5 for $20, which is a steal. There's a thread over at DST where someone posted some pics and she used Dani's toppers too, it came out awesome. I don't know if they do 4x6 calendars, but you could always just get the tops and bottoms printed seperately, and make your own body for the calendar pretty easily (I'm thinking 8.5x6 pieces of cardstock (leave a little space for the fold), folded in half, with the tops and bottoms of the calendars glued into place).

Just do a forum search at DST for Shutterfly Calendars. The thread was titled finished calendar with pics, or something like that.

Hope that helps!

ETA: Here's that thread at DST for you.

Shutterfly's calendars are only the tops..just keep that in mind when you purchase. I'm finishing mine up right now. have a coupon that expires on friday for a free one so I'll let ya know how easy (or hard) to do the calendar on there lol

I'm still trying to win some calendars on Ebay...if not I'll probably just have them printed at Staples or something. I'm waiting to figure out what set I need to buy now.

Thanks for all the advice!!!

Hi Tracy! I am just now seeing this! :) Sounds like everyone pretty much answered your questions, let me know if you have anymore! :)

I just finished mine, the preview is blurry but the threads at DST say it is just normally like that. Dont forget to take the Vivid Pics off too!

Just copying and pasting from a thread at DST:
After much searching, I finally found how to turn Vivid Pics off in the calendar pages instead of in the album. When you're looking at the calendar, you have 3 tabs: style, edit, and preview. While working in the edit tab, click the large preview of the layout. You'll get an edit screen that includes an effects tab. Click on effects and you'll see the checkbox to turn off vivid pics. You have to do it individually for each month, it seems. (This edit screen is also where you can change cropping options if your preview seems to only have a portion of the LO displayed.)

ETA: Here's the link for my album preview.
