Anyone else as sad as I am to see this amazing talent leave the world???

So sad! 1999 came out when I was in college and Purple Rain album released right after I graduated... loved his music, even the early albums from when I was in high school (For You, Prince, Dirty Mind, Controversy), all of which I have on vinyl and I've been listening to them this afternoon. I remember when the Little Red Corvette video came out and it was such a hit on MTV.

Definitely very sad and depressing.

It doesn't seem like there is much information about his cause of death. I've read several articles that mention his flu-like symptoms and a recent hospitalization, but it seems like there may be more to the story. TMZ was reporting that he was treated for a potential OD when he made the emergency landing last week. It will be interesting to see what details emerge. Anyway, he will be very missed.
