Prayers Please

Hey all! I'm hoping I can convince you wonderful people to keep my and my SIL in your prayers tomorrow. SIL is going in for a scheduled C-Section because she's had complications with the pregnancy. Things should be fine, but it never hurts to do a little extra praying.

For me, just about the same time as SIL goes under the knife, I'll be in the torturers.... er, I mean the dentist's chair getting all 4 wisdom teeth pulled. Two should be really easy but the the bottom two are going to be very difficult and, if you remember my dentist thread a few weeks ago, I'm terrified of them. No mind altering meds will be administered so I'm praying I can keep it together enough to NOT puke all over the dentist. I'm quite nervous.

Anyway, thanks so much. I'll let you know how it goes if I make it out alive.

I'll definitely keep your sil in my thoughts.

And you too! I have to get all 4 wisdom teeth pulled sometime soon. But thankfully I don't have the same fear of the dentist. Good luck!

Pop and I will be praying sweetie. Sure hope they give you some kind of drug to calm you down or they WILL be cleaning up puke off of them and the floor.

Sending good vibes and thoughts both your SIL and your way!

I'm totally terrified of the dentist too! I have super sensitive teeth and it's hard to freeze them. Couple that with my childhood dentist being such a hack that did so much unnecessary work on me, and it scarred me for life LOL. I had all my wisdom teeth out when I was 18. FWIW, I was talking about it a few years ago with the dental assistant at our dentist's office at the time, and she told me the recovery is generally much easier when you're awake for the procedure. She was saying when they have you knocked out they really get in there and wrench your jaw around as needed, but if you're awake they're considerably more gentle. Recovery from any procedure is always easier if you don't have a general anesthetic, because it's so hard on your body anyway, so I think it's ultimately a good thing to be awake.

oh yuck, Laura! FOUR wisdom teeth coming out at once sounds awful, though I'm sure it'd be worse to have them all out separately but still...

I'll be remembering you sil, too.

oh, you both will be in my thoughts and prayers!!!!! You'll have to let us know how it goes with the c-section and your dentist!! You try to stay calm, I just had my 4 pulled, and really it's not bad at all!! I didn't feel a thing, just pressure of them pulling, it went super smooth and one of mine was broken too!
