Prayers Needed Please!

My hubby was taken to the hospital this evening by ambulance. He was still at work. We think he might have had a stroke. He was slurring his words pretty bad. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers!
 
He called me a few minutes ago. His voice is back to normal. (I am still at home with our granddaughter. Our daughter is with him.) They have ordered a cat scan and a mini mri to make sure there is no damage to his brain. They think he had a migraine, the kind that hits fast and leaves as quick as it comes. I have never had a migraine like that before.

I'm glad it doesn't look like a stroke after all! I hope he gets a clean bill of health and is home with you soon.
 
I've had them where the opposite side of my body goes numb, my face and hand mainly. If the migraine is on the left, then the right side has the numbness. I don't get them that often, but they're scary!

Sending prayers he's ok and that's all it was!

Oh gosh, what a scary event for you all!! I am glad to hear it likely wasn't something more serious, and I hope he gets to come home soon!
 
Our daughter Lori just called and said the cat scan seemed to be ok and the mri didn't show a stroke! Thank God!! The er said he had what you call a complex migraine. We do worry about something like this because he has had a stroke before. They are sending him home with a work excuse not to go in tomorrow. His boss wants him to take the rest of the week off from work. He said they got it covered.

Oh, Rachel! I'm so glad that he is ok and didn't have a stroke! Hopefully he can get lots of rest this week!!

I'm glad his scan was normal! Good news. Those type of migraines are super scary. I typically only get a visual aura, but sometimes I get numbness in my face, arm and hand (like Vanessa) ... and once I lost my speech too. According to my husband I was talking gibberish, but I didn't realize I was. They kept me overnight in the hospital because I was 8 months pregnant at the time. I hope he takes his boss' advice and gets some rest.
