Prayers for those on Texas Gulf Coast

I want to extend my thoughts and prayers for any of you girls who are in the path of Ike. We've hunkered down and are ready for it to strike later tonight. I'm pretty far Northwest of the coast, so we won't be subject to flooding (I hope). But the eye is forecast to be pretty close to our house, so the winds will be pretty awful. We've got lots of food & water and full tanks of gas, so we should be set of 5 days at least.

So, please send some extra thoughts and prayers our way and the way of anyone else in it's path.

We've already called or IM'd with friends down there (my boss, DH's 2 best friends). One of DH's friends who lives close to NASA already evacuated to Austin. My boss and DH's other friend are both just Northwest of Houston and have hunkered down, waiting for the inevitable power outage. Actually my boss just flew into Houston this morning before the airports shut down.

Most of my family is on the north or west side of Houston, so I think they'll be ok, but I just found out this afternoon that one of my brilliant cousins has decided to stay in his home in Friendswood. So I'm hoping he hasn't made a stupid decision....but I'm thinking he did.
