prayers for my daughter and granddaughter

My husband and I went out to dinner this evening with our daughter and her husband. She was telling me she was having braxton hicks contractions a lot more frequently and I was a little concerned but the way she described it it didnt sound like labor to me. But then I thought I was just having really bad back pain when I went into pre-term labor with my middle son at 28 weeks so you cant really be to safe. So she just called me and said the contractions are getting stronger & they are about every five minutes and lasting around 30 seconds. She is also feeling a lot of pressure on her pelvic area. She is only 31 weeks and 1 day right now so we do not need the baby coming just yet. So please pray she is ok and so is her little one.
 
Definitely sending positive vibes your daughter's way. That little one needs to bake a little longer. Hope everything will be okay. HUGS to you all!
 
she just sent me a message saying they are doing consent forms and admitting forms before sending her to labor and delivery. Gosh when I went into pre-term labor they just sent me straight to labor and delivery. They did the forms and stuff after I got hooked to the monitor. I worried about this a lot with her because I was in the hospital probably 10 times with my son before I had him and out of those I remember I had shots to stop the labor half of them. My doctor put me on bed rest but I had my daughter to take care of and no help so it was nearly impossible to do bed rest. I refused to be admitted because I had nobody to take care of my daughter everyday. So anytime she has complained of pain it has concerned me. She is so close though and I know babies can be ok at this point but they have her baby at only 26th percentile on her size so she is relatively small.
 
this is so much worse then having to go through it firsthand. I am really worried about her and I know I am not going to be able to sleep until we know everything is ok. Looks like it is going to be a long night for us.
 
She is in labor and delivery now. That is all I know. It has been like twenty-five or so minutes since she last replied to me via facebook. She told me her doctor has not checked her cervix at all even though she has had several days where she had more then a couple contractions. I remember being checked quite often with all three of my kids. I mean not early on but usually at every appointment in the third trimester. And since her doctor would prefer she not go into labor due to her having chiari malformation and the baby still being a little small I was surprised she had not checked to see if she was showing any signs of getting ready to have the baby.
 
Its been over an hour since she last messaged me. I tried to call her but she declined the call and I just called the hospital and she said to the nurse to tell me she will call me back. Now I am really worried.
 
ugh! Scary! I'm so sorry! I hope everything really is okay!

I know that my doctor wouldn't check that early, no matter what. I don't know if it's true, but I guess it can move labor along if it's really happening. I know with my last, for one of my checks (at the hospital), it broke my water. My doctor doesn't check until like 38 weeks.

Anyway, I hope she doesn't have more problems and makes it several more weeks!
 
I just saw this thread--I hope she's doing okay, and that her labor was slowed down and/or stopped. Def. let us know what's up if you can! *sends thoughts your and her way*
 
I had a doctors appt today because of a kidney stone this morning. she is doing ok. Apparently the baby is so active that she is causing contractions. My daughter is on her feet all day at work though sometimes 13 hours so they told her she cant be doing that if she continues to have contractions. She has an appt to see her dr and another sonogram on the 24th.
 
I'm glad everything is ok!!! Praying she can bake the baby a while longer!!!

I know I had to quit work at 28 weeks b/c of pretern labor and dilation and was on bed rest for the remaining time. What a stressful time this is for all of you! ((Hugs))
 
yea she said she did not sleep very well. I think she is just starting to get into the really uncomfortable part of being pregnant and does not know exactly what to expect. My second was really active and he would flip and roll to the day I had him.
 
Glad to hear everything is ok. Sending prayers and positive thoughts that baby stays put until the best time to be born.
