My favorite uncle was diagnosed with cancer last year. He went through radiation and was in remission. The past 6 months they've been watching a spot in his back that had some nasty cells and was causing him quite a bit of pain, among other things. About month ago, the cells were found to be a pretty big tumor fused with his spine. Today he is going in for a pretty major and painful surgery. They won't be able to get the whole tumor (they'd have to go through his chest and move his heart, and he's just too weak for that right now) so he will have to go through chemotherapy once he has recovered from the surgery. If you could, could you please say a little prayer that the surgery goes well (I'm praying better than expected) and that he has minimal pain and a speedy(ish) recovery? He's only 53...and its been so horrible to watch his whole life be destroyed by this horrible disease. I worry for my aunt as well because she just doesn't have much more to give. Her optimism is growing weary and it's definitely taking it's toll on her (and my cousins as well). TIA guys
