can't find it but just wanted to say YIKES..ours came today and it was almost doubled what it usually is. I was really expecting it b/c we had to run both upstairs and downstairs units during that really cold spell this month..but to actually see it..ugh. and the big kicker...it's so warm and humid today I've actually had to run the a/c a little bit. Gotta love winter in the South!

I can relate! I about died last week when I got my first electric bill for my new place. Granted, it was well below zero most of December, but still.

Yea, our December bill was over twice what it normally is.

But, we switched providers this week and will be saving a good chunk of change in the future, so that makes me happy :)

I think they messed up my gas bill

It was 37 dollars (same month last year=271.03) AND I had a $27 credit (guess I paid twice last month lol not sure) .....our furnace is gas so my elec has been much lower w/out the A/C running.

uggh I know what you mean Nikki. I had to turn the AC on today as well. It is awful it gets so chilly at night we end up turning on the heat but then around noon its so hot you need the AC. If it wasnt for the humidity I wouldnt need the AC during the day.

My heating bill was a lot higher too as we had such a really cold spell in December. I expected it to be higher, but not quite this high... :(

Our heat is natural gas and our A/C is electric so our bills fluctuate and it's two separate providers. Our highest bills for gas are generally December, January and February and are usually $100-150. So the one I just paid was December's for $102 so we shall see, I sure hope the next bill isn't double that! For our electric we switched to their average payment plan so we pay $130-140/mo rather than $300+/mo in the summer months when we run the A/C nonstop!

Our electric was way low for us. I think it was around $100. And our gas bill (gas furnace and all gas appliances) was high but it was still below $75. We will make up for it in September when our electric bill is over $350. Our water bill was also low this month. But once again it will triple in the summer.

I live in an apt, but mine was $60 last month. Felt kinda high, but I do need to plug in my car everynight and I am sure that adds to it.

that was my thread, lol. i'm sort of glad it's not just me, and that it wasn't something i did horribly wrong, but now it really sucks for ALL of us, lol.
