I am a little OCD when it comes to potluck dinners. I am a firm believer that if it is a small potluck (under 10 families) it works better if there is a theme, some sort of direction... i.e. Mexican, Italian, BBQ, Picnic, Salads/Sandwiches, Thanksgiving, etc.
Well, our little small group Bible study has a 'Thanksgiving' potluck this Sunday. We all decided to text each other to say what we're bringing. My text messages came in like this... in order:
Quinoa Salad & pizza for the kids
Corn Casserole
Chocolate Cake
Lasagna & Garlic Bread
Caprese Salad (fresh mozzarella/ tomatoes/ basil)
I felt a little nauseated thinking of eating all of that on one plate. I also felt a lot of PRESSURE to add something to bring it all together...
Help me out here! :w00t:
I am the last to reply. I'm thinking we need another main dish? But I'm also thinking of just heading straight for another dessert since dinner already seems like a cluster-cuss. What do you suggest I bring?
