Ok......I have done a ton of pages that I love in the last 2 months.
How do you organize your finish products? I plan on keeping all my PSD. I have the space and really cant flatten them at this point.
But they really arent usable in that state--are they?

How do you keep them so you can use them at a moments notice? I spent sooooo much time yesterday saving the pages in a format that DH could use for a movie.

How do you save the final product? What resolution? Any other tips?
I would like to be able to make an album on the spur of the moment if I want.

One more question. As I was printing out the pages, my photos printed darker than the rest of the page. I turned off the "special digital" corrections in my printer program-didn't make a difference. I brightened the photos so they looked over exposed--no difference. Any tips on how to correct this?

I don't save layered copies of my layouts..I used to but I NEVER went back to them and they were just taking up space so I stopped.

I save 1 8x8 JPEG copy for printing 300 dpi resolution
1 600x600 JPEG copy for the web

Not sure about your printing question b/c I use an online site for printing.

I save a JPG of the full size 12x12 in a folder called "print". I have subfolders for each month of the year. Everything goes in there, pictures, layouts, anything I want printed. Then I save a 600px 72dpi version in my scrappy folder. I don't save the layered versions.

I do a flattened and web sized version of my layouts to save. I save my layered files as .tiff to make them smaller even though I have the space, no sense in wasting it. Then once I"ve printed out the final layout, I toss the .tiff file.

As far as your photos, I don't know since I've never run into that problem before.

Ditto! Other than I usually save the PSD until I have them printed in a Shutterfly book since I've occasionally found typos that I wanted to go back and fix. After it has been printed the PSD is deleted.

I save and backup my full size layout (TIFF format for me) then I make a full 300 dpi jpeg copy and upload it to Shutterfly as a final backup.

I save a layered PSP image of all my pages, as well as a full-size JPEG for printing and a websized one. In my digital scrapbooking drive I have a folder titled Layouts, in which is my PSP files, Jpegs to Print, Jpegs Done and Websized folders.

I have been saving the layered psds, flatten full rez jpg and a 600 by 600 web version. I am not sure why I keep the layered ones, just have always done it, but I never do go back to them and change anything. lol

I'm in the process of saving and uploading full size jpg's to various sites to get printed. Once they are printed, I'm deleting the psds. I upload a gallery size LO to photobucket, plus the 4 or 5 galleries. So that's my backup for those.

I do the same as several of you - save the PSD, full-size jpeg for printing, and a smaller version for posting/emailing. I have 4 boys and many times I can reuse the layouts by switching out the photos if I need a layout of the same event, so I like to keep the layered versions, as right now I have plenty of space.

I save the layered PSD, a 8.25x8.25 flattened Jpeg and a 600x600 web size jpeg. When my folder reaches 4 GB I burn the PSD and 600x600 jpeg to a DVD and then delete the PSD and move the 600x600 jpeg to a folder dated 2008 jpegs (at the end of 2009 I'll totally delete that folder off my computer).

I keep the 8.25x8.25 jpeg in a folder called "To be printed". Once I have it printed and in my hot little hands I delete those off my computer. It's kind of a wacky system but it works for me!!! :D

I do the same thing...I am so nervous that once I delete the layered one, I will find something that needs to be fixed. I know, I'm a little bit crazy.
