Positive Thoughts for my nephew please

My 16 year old nephew was hit by a car tonight while riding his bike...he seems to be miraculously ok except he has glass embedded in his eyes.

I have a nasty photo but will spare you, please send out positive thoughts and prayers if you pray :(
 
Oh no... :( Praying for him and his recovery. Are they going to do surgery on the eyes?
 
Oh no, so sorry to hear this. I hope he fully recovers. Sending lots of positive thoughts your way.
 
oh man poor guy! Hope they're able to get it out safely and that he doesn't lose his eyesight.
 
Thank you everyone - I just got home from the hospital - he is doing ok. Turns out it wasn't glass, but rather his face hit the pavement and tore his eyelids to shreds. They stitched him all up and are taking him for more scans at 1 am because they're worried about his brain. He looks ok and I think he's going to be fine - but man.
 
Oh my goodness! That sounds painful, I hope all checks out clear! Lifting him up with my prayers.
 
Thank you everyone! He seems to be on the mend today. His second scan came back ok so it looks like his face is just banged up. They're going to try and get his other contact out in a few hours, but I think the contacts protected his actual eyeball for the most part so the damage is just surface.

The lady that hit him did not just drive off, she stopped and called the police. She contends that she had a green light and he contends that he did. I won't know any more on that until they're out of the hospital and dealing with the police.
 
Good thing that the lady actually stayed and called the police! And great to hear his scan came back okay!

Oh my goodness! I'm glad he's doing better and that the contacts protected his eyes. Positive thoughts coming your way. Hope you are doing okay too.
 
poor kid :[ Here's to a speedy recovery. Even if she did have the green light, she should probably be paying enough attention that she didn't mow down a kid on a bike. good grief. glad she stuck around and called 911 though.
