Who has screwed up a layout and not notice till they showed someone? LOL I feel like such an idiot!

Ok I did a layout yesterday for Laura Bratcher at FPD and I used her It's Elementary and so I did a school themed layout and the title was Starting First Grade. Ok everything was cool till I showed it to my mom tonight and she said "That wasn't her starting first grade that picture was taken last year when she was starting second grade." I felt soooooo stupid! Now I have to do the whole thing over!

Please tell me I'm not alone

I've messed up a title that had a date in it on a paper layout I did before. And it was only like 6 months after I made it that I figured out it was wrong - no one else ever picked it up. Can you just change out the photos?

Oh no, you aren't alone ... my mom pointed out a grammar mistake on a layout I'd printed once. It never fails that you print it and then find something wrong with it. Ugh. I've put the wrong year on layouts before ... so far I've named them (my kids) all correctly ... that I'm aware of. :p

Yep, it happens. :)

OOh noo, you are soo not alone...check out my Disney hybrid album...we totally loved seeing Playhouse Diney...and yeah, I didn't see it until I was totally done...so whatever, it gives my book character.

It would be an easy fix if I didn't delete the full size image already after I uploaded it to my storage email. LOL

It wasn't a complicated layout thank goodness.

I just can't believe I didn't notice it until my mom pointed it out

Have no fear! It happens to the best of us! I totally forgot English or something on a page about my aunt (who passed in April) and left out a word. I didn't notice for like 3 days after it was uploaded to my gallery. I haven't even tried to fix it. :)

Mimi no I didn't have it printed thank goodness. But I don't have the layered full size image so basically I am just doing the whole thing over.

You are not alone. I did a LO a while back and my title to it was "Glammed up" only I spelled it "Glamed Up." I uploaded it to my galleries all over digi-land and someone nicely gave me the hint in one of my comments that it was spelled wrong. Thankfully I was able to fix it without to much work.

I will be honest though I have had times where I put the wrong date or something on my LO and I don't change it if it is anywhere close to the time frame. I figure in 20 years froms now who is really gonna know anyway. It's the memory that's important! I am just to stinkin' lazy sometimes I suppose!

Nope, I wrote Skeep Angel Sleep on a LO once and didn't even notice after someone pointed it out, took a couple of days later to figure out what she had said. lol

I like your take on this! My albums are filled to the brim with "character."

Hmm, must be just you. Never done ANYTHING like that!!! LOL! So kidding!! Ya, I have done it too many times to even count. My mom did my photo album from when I was a kid and has the wrong names of her own children under pics!!

I typo up mine and mispell words all the time-I figure my family will know I was human when they read the journaling...the might have been thinking I was a robot...hehe.

LOL! I did the time challenge and my LO 3:19 has a typo. lol! One person noticed! lmbo!!!! I haven't fixed it yet though..too lazy!

Oh yeah! All the time. I am constantly putting the wrong year on my layouts. I don't usually notice until I am saving it, since I save the layouts by date. It doesn't help that I am dyslexic when I type. I always have to proofread my journaling. You can tell if I am being lazy because I have misspelled words, usually just inverted letters. My grandmother died on May 1st, 2006. So, for Mother's Day that year, I made a mini-album for my mom & her sisters about my granny's life. I was so excited to be able to give my mother something that she would love. She is world's hardest person to give gifts to. Anyway, I had five of these albums printed and she & her sisters were looking through them. My mom piped in with "Granny was born in 1937, not 1997." They found five other typos in my albums... They spent their time looking for typos instead of enjoying the albums. I walked around teh room, picked them all back up and told them I'd get them to them when they were fixed... They're still in my scrap drawer! :)

I did a layout for Peppermint Creative's Next Top Scrapper (won 4th place:)) and in one about my husband's bad spelling skills I have a tag that said "P.A.H. class of '96". Well that would mean he didn't graduate high school until after he met me...he graduated the year before that in '95. I just realized this a few days ago. I've only had the layout done for a year... :D
